West Ham beat Milan to Bakayoko?

West Ham United have reportedly moved ahead of Milan in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Monaco have a €42m option to keep Bakayoko beyond this season, but they seem unlikely to activate it in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 26-year-old was reported to have offered himself to Milan, but Spanish outlet Transfer20 claims West Ham are making the most headway right now.

Report: Bakayoko wants Milan move

Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko has reportedly contacted Milan, hoping for a return to San Siro this summer.

The 25-year-old midfielder has played 20 Ligue 1 matches on loan at Monaco this term and the French club has an option to buy their former player.

But Bakayoko, according to Tuttosport, contacted the Diavolo in recent weeks to underline his wish of a return to Milanello.

The former France international played 42 games during his first spell with the Rossoneri, who could try to sign the player on loan with an option to buy in June 2021.

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is angling for a return to Milan, suggest Tuttosport, after his loan spell with Monaco ended.

He turns 26 in August and is still looking for some stability in his career, having managed two goal and two assists in his 23 competitive appearances for Monaco this season.

Bakayoko is under contract with Chelsea until June 2022, but is not part of their plans for the future either.

According to Tuttosport, he has sent out feelers for a potential return to San Siro for Milan.

FIFA toughens racism stance

FIFA has toughened its stance on racism, allowing victims to make statements and confirming games can be forfeited.

FIFA’s previous approach to racism came under heavy scrutiny, with critics accusing the governing body of being too lenient.

It came after Inter, Lazio and Cagliari escaped serious punishments last season, despite their fans racially abusing Kalidou Koulibaly, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Moise Kean.

PSG or United for Bakayoko?

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have both reportedly approached Tiemoue Bakayoko with a view to signing the ex-Milan midfielder.
