Racist Roma fan: 'I'm not racist!'

In a frankly bizarre interview, the Roma fan barred for life after hurling racist abuse at Juan Jesus on social media insists he’s “certainly not racist.”

Juan Jesus posted a screencap of the insults on his Instagram account, which prompted Roma to follow the username, identify the supporter and ban him from their games for life, as well as report him to police.

Bakayoko 'wants Milan return'

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has reportedly informed Milan that he wants to re-join the club.

According to Tuttosport, Milan officials are also not ruling out a late return for Bakayoko, providing Kessie leaves for Monaco this week.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at San Siro, making 42 appearances and becoming a fans’ favourite.

However, the latter part of his spell saw him fall out with Coach Gennaro Gattuso and turn up late for training.

FIFA toughens racism stance

FIFA has toughened its stance on racism, allowing victims to make statements and confirming games can be forfeited.

FIFA’s previous approach to racism came under heavy scrutiny, with critics accusing the governing body of being too lenient.

It came after Inter, Lazio and Cagliari escaped serious punishments last season, despite their fans racially abusing Kalidou Koulibaly, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Moise Kean.

PSG or United for Bakayoko?

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have both reportedly approached Tiemoue Bakayoko with a view to signing the ex-Milan midfielder.

Bakayoko spent last season on loan at Milan, making 42 appearances in all competitions and becoming a fans’ favourite in the process.

However, the Rossoneri chose not to take up their €35m option to buy and RMC Sport claims new PSG sporting director Leonardo wants a reunion with the 24-year-old, who has since returned to Chelsea.

Bakayoko aims Milan parting shot

Tiemoue Bakayoko has fired a parting shot at ex-Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso. “Our relationship was complicated, we didn’t understand each other.”

Bakayoko was for most part a fans’ favourite at Milan, who had a €35m option to make their loan deal for the Chelsea midfielder permanent.

However, the Frenchman fell out of favour after he was late for training and engaged in a touchline row with Gattuso during a match last month.

Bakayoko: 'Staying at Chelsea'

Tiemoue Bakayoko’s agent confirmed Milan won’t activate his option to buy and despite many offers, he has “decided to stay at Chelsea.”

The midfielder went from flop to fan favourite back to unpopularity during his loan spell this season after a touchline row with Coach Gennaro Gattuso.

It had been known for some time that the Rossoneri would not pay the €35m to buy him outright, having already spent €5m on the loan spell.

Serie A hands out nine bans

Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi and eight others have been given bans for the first matchday of the 2019-20 Serie A campaign.

The FIGC’s Giudice Sportivo has handed out its final punishments of the season following Week 38’s fixtures.

Berardi joins teammate Francesco Magnanelli, Inter pair Keita Balde Diao and Ivan Perisic, Empoli duo Filippo Perucchini and Marko Pajac, Milan’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, Chievo’s Fabio Depaoli and Atalanta’s Josip Ilicic in being forced to sit out the opening round of next season.

Bakayoko in Milan farewell?

Milan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has appeared to confirm that he will be returning to Chelsea this summer. “Thank you for these beautiful memories...”

Milan retained a €35m option to buy Bakayoko, who made 42 appearances for the Rossoneri, but the Frenchman has suggested that his spell at San Siro is over.

“Despite yesterday’s victory we failed to reach our objective and finish in the top four to give you Champions League football next season,” he wrote on Instagram.
