Verratti: 'Never considered leaving PSG'

Italy international Marco Verratti has revealed he has never considered leaving Paris Saint-Germain and aims to go all the way in Euro 2020 with the Azzurri.

The 27-year-old has spent the last eight seasons at Parc des Princes and helped the team win a domestic treble in France last term, before finishing runners-up behind Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

“It was a big blow, but we had a great journey,” Verratti said at a press conference ahead of Italy’s match against Poland in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.

Verratti: 'We're not thinking about Atalanta'

Marco Verratti has claimed Paris Saint-Germain 'aren't thinking about Atalanta yet’ and only focus on the Coupe de la Ligue Final against Olympique Lyonnais.

PSG, who have already won Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France this season, are preparing for another Final against Lyon before playing Atalanta in the quarter-finals of the Champions League next month.

The Italian midfielder didn’t want to lose focus ahead of tomorrow’s Final and avoided the question regarding the upcoming match against the Orobici.

Verratti: ‘If I played for Monaco…’

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has criticised Monaco for resting players in the Coupe de France ahead of the Juventus game.

The principality side played youth team players in the semi-final last night, as they are top of Ligue 1 and face the Bianconeri in the Champions League on Wednesday.

PSG thrashed Leandro Jardim’s side 5-0 to move into the final, but Verratti wasn’t impressed with the attitude of their opponents.

“I enjoyed it because we qualified for the final,” the Italian international told Le Figaro.

‘Monaco will rest players for Juventus’

Monaco Coach Leandro Jardim will play a weakened team in the Coupe de France, ahead of next week’s Juventus game.

The principality side are top of Ligue 1 and face the Bianconeri in the Champions League semi-finals, so will rotate heavily for the cup semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

“We don’t have a big squad,” Jardim explained to reporters ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Brocchi: ‘Milan must be better’

Cristian Brocchi tells his Milan players to “forget about” the Coppa Italia if they play like they did against Roma.

The Rossoneri lost 3-1 at home on the final day of the season, meaning they must beat Juventus in the cup final on Saturday to qualify for the Europa League.

“I don’t accept that a team which wears such a prestigious shirt can play like on Saturday night,” Brocchi fumed in an interview with Premium Sport.

Verratti: ‘PSG for life!’

Marco Verratti would like to finish his career at Paris Saint-Germain, but doesn’t know if Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay.

The Italian international joined the Ligue 1 side from Pescara in 2012, and has since become a mainstay for both PSG and the Azzurri.

“In Italy it’s difficult to leave your house,” Verratti explained to RMC Sport.

“Here, even if people love you they’re very respectful. If someone asks me for a picture, I’ll happily do it. It’s something I love doing now.
