Sao Paulo target Miranda

Inter could reportedly sell Joao Miranda to make way for Diego Godin, with Sao Paulo interested in the €5m-rated defender.

It is now practically confirmed Godin will join the Nerazzurri as a free agent when his contract with Atletico Madrid expires in June.

Miranda is the likely candidate to leave, especially as Andrea Ranocchia has just signed a new deal.

According to Fox Sports Brazil, Sao Paulo have revived their interest in Miranda after a summer approach and he is eager for a return to his homeland, as he turns 35 in September.

Palace beat Viola to Perri

Fiorentina have reportedly missed out on Sao Paulo goalkeeper Lucas Perri, as he is heading to Crystal Palace instead.

The 21-year-old Brazilian had been linked with a move to Serie A, although he’d have to compete for the gloves with this season’s new arrival Alban Lafont.

According to Globoesporte, English club Crystal Palace have secured a deal to take Perri on loan with €4.5m option to buy.

However, that will only cover 80 per cent of his rights.

Milan talks for Rodrigo Caio

Milan director Leonardo has reportedly met with San Paulo to discuss signing Rodrigo Caio, either for €8m or on loan with obligation to buy for €13m.

If the Rossoneri were to purchase the defender outright, the cost would be around €7-8m.

However, if they wanted to take him on loan with an obligation to buy at a later date, it would be far more expensive at €12-13m.
