Reports from France suggest that Juventus are interested in fighting with Milan for VfL Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix.

The 23-year-old French centre back has less than 18 months left on his contract with the Bundesliga side and a new deal doesn’t appear to be on the horizon, making him an intriguing transfer market opportunity ahead of the summer.

Milan are looking to bolster their backline in the transfer market and have identified Lacroix as one of two interesting options, with the other target being Brest’s Lilian Brassier. The club’s main focus for the time being is Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, however.

Lacroix battle brews

As reported by L’Equipe, Juventus have made contact with Wolfsburg to start exploring a summer move for Lacroix, interested in competing with Milan for the talented centre back, who is ready to leave the Bundesliga club.

The 23-year-old has high ambitions and is keen to make the next step in his career. Wolfsburg picked up the defender from FC Sochaux back in August 2020 for around €5m and are expected to earn a hefty profit from his sale in the summer.
