Sassuolo loan pair to Spezia

Sassuolo have loaned both Cristian Dell’Orco and Riccardo Marchizza to newly-promoted Spezia, along with some other transfers.

The Neroverdi released a brief statement confirming they extended Marchizza’s contract before sending him out on loan to Spezia.

In truth, it is a return, as the 22-year-old had already spent last season at the club, helping them to their first ever promotion into Serie A via the play-offs.

Defender Dell’Orco was also loaned to Spezia.

U21: Marchizza added to Italy squad

Italy’s Under-21 side has called in Crotone defender Riccardo Marchizza for a friendly against Belgium after Sebastiano Luperto and Giuseppe Pezzella pulled out.

The game kicks off at the Dacia Arena in Udine on Thursday at 17.30 UK time (16.30 GMT).

It will be followed by another test with Tunisia at the Stadio Romeo Menti in Vicenza on Monday at 17.30 UK time (16.30 GMT).

Coach Gigi Di Biagio has lost both Napoli defender Luperto and Udinese left-back Pezzella.

Sassuolo snap up Roma pair

Roma continue their close relationship with Sassuolo by handing over youth team players Davide Frattesi and Riccardo Marchizza for €8m.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the double deal includes buy-back clauses, similar to the one the Giallorossi just activated for Lorenzo Pellegrini after two years at the Mapei Stadium.

It’s rumoured that Frattesi cost €5m, while Marchizza has been sold for €3m with 50 per cent of any future transfer going to Roma.

Sassuolo want EDF compensation

Roma and Sassuolo have still not agreed terms for Coach Eusebio Di Francesco, as the Neroverdi want €3m to release the tactician.

It is well known that Di Francesco is the first choice to replace Luciano Spalletti, who today visited the Trigoria training ground to remove his last personal effects.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Di Francesco has already worked out a two-year contract worth €1.5m per season, plus an option for a third.

However, Sassuolo are not prepared to just let the Coach leave so soon after signing his contract extension.

Atalanta accept Roma bid for Kessie

Atalanta have reportedly accepted a €28m bid from Roma for star youngster Franck Kessie.

The two sides face each other tomorrow at 2PM GMT, click here for a preview.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the deal has now being completed, despite the Ivorian’s agent being quoted in the Press as saying they were ‘listening to all offers’.

Roma total €30m for Kessie?

Roma are reportedly working to offer cash plus two young players to get Franck Kessie from Atalanta for €30m next season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Giallorossi are working hard to close on the Ivory Coast international.

They’ll have to beat competition from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, who it’s believed had €25m offers turned down.

The plan is to sign Kessie now to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico in June.

Roma to meet Sassuolo for Defrel

Roma will reportedly meet with Sassuolo today in order to discuss a potential deal for Gregoire Defrel.

The Reggio Emilia-based outfit have so far been resolute in wanting to keep the Frenchman, who can play either up front or on the wing.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi are ready to offer a loan with an automatic right to buy in June 2018 for a fee in the region of €15-16m.

Roma could also offer a player on loan as part of the deal, with winger Federico Ricci or centre-back Riccardo Marchizza potential candidates.

Roma push past Terek Grozny

Diego Perotti, Edin Dzeko and youth team player Riccardo Marchizza scored as Roma beat Terek Grozny 3-2.

Juan Jesus made his Giallorossi debut in defence and the game was broadcast live on Facebook.

Bogdan Lobont was forced into an early save on Grozav, who dribbled past Vasilis Torosidis, while Edin Dzeko couldn’t get on the end of a Mario Rui assist.

Mohamed Salah’s cross was only cleared as far as Diego Perotti for a low drive into the near bottom corner just before half-time.
