Calhanoglu acquitted in Turkey

Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been acquitted of threatening and beating singer Anita Latifi.

The Turkish international had a brief relationship with Latifi in 2014, during which she alleged she had fallen pregnant.

Given that Calhanoglu was married at the time, she claimed he made threats, forced her to abort the pregnancy and physically assaulted her.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that a court in Turkey has found the midfielder not guilty, and sentenced his accuser to 70 hours of community service for false testimony and defamation.

Inspired Milan's best performance

With the unity, determination and guile we've not seen from Milan in a long time, Matthew Santangelo witnessed the attitude they needed against Inter.

Turkish clubs want Calhanoglu

Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are both interested in taking Hakan Calhanoglu away from Milan in January, according to Bild.

The German newspaper reports of strong interest from the two clubs.

Although Calhanoglu is a Turkey international, he was born and raised in Germany, spending his entire career in the Bundesliga until the €22m plus bonuses transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Milan.

He has struggled for playing time and suffered from muscular problems too, prompting the possibility of a January exit.

Calhanoglu courted in Turkey

Milan are considering proposals from Turkey to sell Hakan Calhanoglu in January, claims the Corriere dello Sport.

The 23-year-old midfielder was snapped up from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer for €22m plus bonuses.

He contributed two goals and six assists in 19 competitive games, which is by no means a poor tally, but his overall performances have been disappointing.

Calhanoglu is again out with a muscular injury and his delicate frame is raising some questions.
