Fazio: 'Roma need to win'

Federico Fazio acknowledges Lecce are in great shape, but warns Roma cannot let more Serie A points slip. “The crucial thing is to win.”

Juan Jesus close to Fiorentina

Roma are close to selling defender Juan Jesus to Fiorentina, whilst they plan to move Federico Fazio on in June.

The Brazilian defender has lost his place at the heart of the defence, with Chris Smalling superseding Jesus to partner Gianluca Mancini.

The Viola will take the 30-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy for €4m in June.

The Giallorossi are in the midst of revolutionising their back line. Roger Ibanez will join from Atalanta, on an 18-month loan with mandatory obligation to buy for €8m.

Dzeko: 'No Inter regrets'

Roma striker Edin Dzeko insists he has no regrets about rejecting a move to Inter last summer. "I don't think about it."

Dzeko had been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri throughout last summer. However a deal didn't materialise.

"I don't think about it. They are playing very well and they are first together with Juventus, it will be a race to the end and that's good for the league," the Bosnian told Sky Sport Italia.

Roma: No Fazio for Torino

Roma defender Federico Fazio will miss tomorrow night’s game against Torino in Serie A with a muscle injury.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports the Argentine pulled up during the Giallorossi’s final training session earlier today.

As a precautionary measure, coach Paulo Fonseca doesn’t want to risk him, with next week’s match against Juventus on the horizon, so he will sit out on Sunday.

Fazio: 'All saw it wasn't a penalty'

The Giallorossi were leading the Europa League clash thanks to a Nicolò Zaniolo header, but deep into stoppages a penalty was awarded for handball, even though it clearly hit Chris Smalling on the chin.

Fazio: 'We must beat Ranieri'

Federico Fazio expects to end his career at Roma and is looking forward to seeing Claudio Ranieri again, even if he’s now in charge of Sampdoria.

The Argentina international spoke to Roma TV ahead of Sunday’s trip to Samp, who are making their debut under new Coach Ranieri, who saw out last season with the Giallorossi.

“Ranieri is a Coach with so much experience in football, he took on a team that was not going well, but can give them the push they need,” said Fazio.
