Dybala right man for Juventus

Paulo Dybala proved he is back with two late goals – scored with his weaker right foot – as Juventus struggled to beat Verona 3-1.

Napoli had already secured the status of Winter Champions as leaders at the half-way stage of the season, but Juve open up a six-point gap from the chasing pack, as Inter, Roma and Lazio all failed to win today.

Blaise Matuidi gave them the ideal start at the sold out Bentegodi, his scuffed finish finding the net after six minutes on the rebound from Gonzalo Higuain off the upright.

‘Juventus could change midfield’

Juventus Coach Max Allegri admits he switched to a midfield three because “we conceded a lot of goals” at the start of the season, but could change it tomorrow.

Miralem Pjanic is out injured for the trip to Verona, but with three central midfielders the Bianconeri have kept eight clean sheets in a row.

“There’s no ideal pair, because I have so many players who can play together,” Allegri explained in his Press conference today.

Juventus must find middle way

The Bianconeri have switched from defence to attack, but Gaby McKay says it’s the midfield that needs to be addressed.

Buddhist tradition holds that the path to enlightenment is the ‘Middle Way’; neither sensual indulgence nor self-mortification. To go to one extreme or the other is to ultimately limit oneself, as neither represents the true experience of the human condition.

Fortune favours the brave

A slow start has put Juventus and Max Allegri under enormous pressure, but Vilizar Yakimov believes a small shift in mindset could make all the difference.
