Marotta: ‘Rodriguez? No chance...'

General manager Giuseppe Marotta says there’s “almost no chance” of Juventus signing James Rodriguez.

Some reports in Spain had linked the Colombian international with the Bianconeri, as he’s seemingly not wanted by Coach Zinedine Zidane.

“James? There’s almost no chance,” Marotta shrugged, speaking to Sky.

Al-Khelaifi: ‘Matuidi stays at PSG’

Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi insists Blaise Matuidi “wants to stay and will stay” despite Juventus interest.

The Bianconeri met with the French club today, as they look to sign a replacement for Paul Pogba.

General manager Giuseppe Marotta declared himself “optimistic” about signing the French international, but PSG’s chairman has contradicted those words.

Marotta: ‘Optimistic for Matuidi’

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta is “optimistic” about signing Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Bianconeri have agreed a deal with the player, and following a meeting in Monaco today it appears that a transfer is very close.

“We’re looking for a midfielder and everyone knows it,” Marotta admitted to Premium Sport following the Champions League draw.

Report: Matuidi to Juventus done

It’s reported Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal for midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

The French international had already agreed a contract with the Bianconeri, and the two clubs met in Monaco today to try and work out a transfer fee.

Now Premium Sport is reporting that a deal has been reached, and Matuidi is effectively a Juventus player,

Juventus €5m from Matuidi?

Juventus’ offer for Blaise Matuidi is reportedly only €5m short of Paris Saint-Germain’s asking price.

Sources in France and Italy are basically in agreement that the midfielder has agreed a contract with the Bianconeri, but so far there is no deal between the clubs.

Matuidi close to Juventus

Multiple reports are confident Juventus are on the verge of a deal for PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi, but there are disagreements on the fee.

Mediaset Premium, Calciomercato.com and Tuttosport all suggest a crucial meeting will be held on Thursday.

It's likely to take place around the Champions League draw.

Several sources France also suggest the transfer is close to completion.

Matuidi has been picked as the replacement for Paul Pogba following his €105m plus €5m transfer to Manchester United.

Agent: ‘Verratti ready for Italy’

Marco Verratti's agent assures his client is “ready” for Italy and doesn’t believe Blaise Matuidi will join Juventus.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder missed Euro 2016 after surgery on a hip injury, but scored in the 3-0 win over Metz on Sunday.

“He has put his injury behind him,” Donato Di Campli assured Tuttomercatoweb.

“We’re happy, and he’s ready to answer the call of the national team too.

Matuidi has Juventus deal?

French sources agree that Juventus have a Blaise Matuidi deal, but talks with Paris Saint-Germain continue.

Yesterday it was claimed that the midfielder wants to join the Bianconeri, who are working to lower the €40m asking price.

Now Le Parisien is reporting that, taking advantage of a day off granted by Coach Unai Emery, Matuidi and his agent, Mino Raiola, met with the Old Lady yesterday.

The two parties agreed in principle to a long-term contract, believed to be either three or four years.

Juventus are reportedly working to lower Blaise Matuidi’s asking price, emboldened by an agreement with the player.

The Bianconeri want the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder as a replacement for Paul Pogba, but the French side are demanding €40m, given that they don’t want to sell.

However, Tuttosport believes that Matuidi is keen to make the move to Turin, strengthening the Old Lady’s hand.
