Cagliari issue lifetime bans

Cagliari have identified and imposed lifetime bans on three supporters who were deemed guilty of shouting racist abuse during home games.

The Sardinians have been at the centre of attention in recent seasons pertaining to racist abuse suffered by opposing players by certain sections of the Cagliari support.

Blaise Matuidi, Moise Kean and Romelu Lukaku have all been subjected to racist taunts during trips to Cagliari.

The club had been slow to react to the issue.

However the club have now finally taken measures.

Juve to extend with Matuidi?

Blaise Matuidi looks set to remain at Juventus and extend his expiring contract until June 2021, according to Tuttosport.

The 32-year-old’s current deal expires this summer and the Old Lady will allegedly be thorough in their study of his data, to consider all aspects before a renewal.

Tuttosport claims that the Bianconeri have already started the contract negotiation with the French midfielder and Fabio Paratici has been in touch with the former Paris Saint-Germain man’s representatives.

Matuidi: 'Parma will make life difficult'

Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi says Parma will make life difficult for the Bianconeri ahead of tonight’s clash.

Matuidi will start in the Juve midfield alongside Miralem Pjanic and Adrien Rabiot and concedes playing against the Gialloblu won’t be easy.

“It’s an important match worth three precious points,” the midfielder told Rai Sport.

Matuidi: 'Juve play to win at Roma'

Blaise Matuidi acknowledged “it will be difficult, but Juventus only play to win” against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Matuidi: 'Can win Champions with Juve'

Blaise Matuidi confesses he left Paris Saint-Germain for Juventus because he could "win the Champions League here," rather than with his old side.

Matuidi moved from PSG in the summer of 2017 to join the Bianconeri in a €25m deal, and has since played an integral part in the club’s ongoing success.

“Coming to Juve was a step forward, a logical choice to further my career. All this without offending PSG. It’s a great club, but I feel this team is particularly suited to me.

Can-Paredes swap in January?

Juventus have reportedly discussed swapping Emre Can for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes in January.

The Old Lady have had problems in middle of the park all season, with injuries to Sami Khedira, Aaron Ramsey and Blaise Matuidi leaving Maurizio Sarri short on numbers.

Emre Can doesn’t fit into Sarri’s plans and was left out of Juve’s Champions League squad list for the first half of the season, which he publicly took issue with.

Demiral: 'Juve have best defence'

Merih Demiral has vowed to “fight for his place” at Juventus, who have “the best defenders”, and revealed his good relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Demiral joined Juventus from Sassuolo over the summer but has only played once in Serie A this season.

Nonetheless, the 21-year-old assured he would keep working hard to convince coach Maurizio Sarri of his worth.

“Juventus are one of the best teams in the world,” he told Fanatik.

Juve: Rabiot out, Matuidi in

Juventus could be without Adrien Rabiot on Saturday after the midfielder suffered a thigh injury, but Blaise Matuidi has made a full recovery.

Juve confirmed on their official website that Rabiot trained “only partially” with the squad due to “a slight strain” in his left adductor muscle.

The Frenchman has played nine times for the Old Lady since arriving on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, but only four of those appearances have been starts.

Matuidi to extend with Juve

Blaise Matuidi and Juventus are prepared to extend his current contract to June 2021, according to Tuttosport.

The 32-year-old had been expected to leave last summer when new coach Maurizio Sarri took charge, but has won over the tactician with his performances.

His contract is due to expire in June 2020, but Tuttosport claims there is a clause that can be exercised unilaterally to extend for one more year.

The France international has 14 competitive appearances for Juve this season, scoring one goal.
