'Ruben Dias on Milan's radar'

International Champions Cup chief Charlie Stillitano has revealed that Milan are keeping tabs on Benfica defender Ruben Dias.

Dias was linked with the likes of Manchester United and Juventus over the summer but ended up staying at Benfica, helping them win the International Champions Cup.

However, Stillitano now claims to have been personally informed by Paolo Maldini that the 22-year-old is on the Rossoneri’s radar.

“Ruben Dias is a player on the radar of big clubs,” he told Soccerex.

Benfica and Porto eye Olsen

Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen could be heading towards Portugal, as O Jogo claims Benfica and FC Porto are interested.

The Sweden international was signed a year ago to replace Alisson Becker at a cost of €9m, but had a dismal debut Serie A season.

In the closing stages, he was dropped in favour of veteran Antonio Mirante and has now been usurped by Pau Lopez.

According to Portuguese paper O Jogo, Olsen has caught the eye of both Porto and Benfica.

Friendlies: Benfica beat Milan

Milan made it successive defeats, losing 1-0 to Benfica in the International Champions Cup, but Marco Giampaolo felt his side did ‘much better’.

A deflected finish from ex- Milan attacker Adel Taarabt decided the game in Benfica’s favour, but Giampaolo – while accepting his team still had a ‘lot’ of work to do – saw signs of progress.

The result says nothing, it doesn’t necessarily mean the team has a certain attitude,” the Coach said after the game.

Giampaolo: Too early for details

Marco Giampaolo said Milan are “working on macro-principles right now, then we need to get into the details” ahead of their Benfica match.

The Rossoneri continue their International Champions Cup campaign in America by taking on Benfica, but Patrick Cutrone has already flown back to Italy for advanced negotiations with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

“I have always protested against having the transfer window open all the way up to the start of the season. I’ve never understood it and I never will,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

Benfica: From Perin to Olsen?

With that in mind, A Bola writes they are now targeting Olsen.

The Swede was dropped by the Giallorossi last season after a series of high-profile errors and has since been replaced by Pau Lopez.
