The first goalkeeper to save a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty in Serie A, Stefano Sorrentino, has explained to Football Italia what it’s like to face a spot kick from the Juventus forward.

Sorrentino, who also played with Paulo Dybala at Palermo and weighed in on the Argentine’s future at the Juventus Stadium, credited his pre-match preparation with helping him stop Ronaldo from 12 yards when Chievo played Juve in January 2019.

Vignato: 'Mihajlovic motivates us'

Bologna winger Emanuel Vignato says coach Sinisa Mihajlovic ‘motivates everyone’ at the Rossoblu, who aim to ‘score as many points as possible’.

The former Chievo Verona youngster moved to Bologna in August and has appeared eight times in Serie A this season.

Pucciarelli: 'I don't know what happened at Chievo'

Manuel Pucciarelli has hit the ground running at Pescara and claimed he still doesn’t know why he wasn't given a chance at Chievo Verona.

In January, the 29-year-old moved to Pescara on loan and has contributed three goals in his nine games so far.

“I can’t speak about extending my contract, only the President can decide that, but there was something in January, talk of more important things than only a loan deal,” he told Rete8.

“We have now resumed play and we will talk about it later.”

Sorrentino warns outdoor exercisers

Former Palermo and Chievo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino has warned the people out “exercising” that there "won’t be a summer to enjoy” unless they “stay at home”.

Sorrentino is still keeping himself active in Seconda Categoria after having retired from professional football at 40 two months ago.

The goalkeeper, who kept 91 clean sheets in Serie A during spells at Torino, Palermo and Chievo, spoke about the difficult period in Italy due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Parigini at Genoa for medical

Genoa are closing in on Torino winger Vittorio Parigini, who will reportedly have his medical today.
