IFAB revises handball rule

The IFAB has revised the handball rules, confirming the ‘accidental handball leading to a teammate scoring a goal will no longer be an offence'.

The International Football Association Board is the only body responsible for changing the rules and has released a statement of the revised handball rules from this July.

Osimhen returns to training: 'He can be called up'

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen returned to train with the group today, as the Partenopei prepare for the match against Bologna on Sunday.

The Azzurri confirmed the Nigerian striker, who suffered a head injury in the 4-2 defeat to Atalanta, has returned to full training with the rest of his teammates today.

Neurosurgeon Alfredo Bucciero confirmed the former LOSC Lille forward can be called up for this weekend’s match.

According to several reports in Italy, Mario Rui was sent home from Napoli training yesterday due to a poor attitude.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, Il Corriere dello Sport and more Italian outlets report Gattuso punished the Portuguese defender during yesterday’s training session.

According to the reports, Gattuso didn’t enjoy Mario Rui’s attitude and decided to send him home from the training.

The 29-year-old had remained on the bench for the last three games, with Faouzi Ghoulam who started in his place.

Hamsik set for Goteborg move

Former Napoli captain Marek Hamsik is reportedly on the verge of joining IFK Göteborg.

The 33-year-old spent 12 years at Napoli where he scored 121 goals in 520 appearances and won three trophies.

He left the Stadio Maradona in January 2019 to join Dalian Yifang and is now available on the market as a free agent.

Several reports had claimed Hamsik was ready to return to Slovakia to end his career, but according to the Expressen, he agreed to join IFK Göteborg in Sweden.
