Spadafora: 'Sport reopens for 1000 spectators'

The Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora has confirmed the reopening of sporting events to the public in Italy, with a maximum of 1000 spectators.

Spadafora spoke about the decision from the Technical and Scientific Committee (CTS) to reopen doors for outdoor sporting events.

“In the next few hours this decision will be made official, but I want to thank Minister Speranza for the collaboration and the CTS,” Spadafora said, according to SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

Serie A Week 1 referees

AIA has announced the referees for Serie A Week 1, with Marco Piccinini overseeing Juventus-Sampdoria and Federico La Penna the match official for Milan-Bologna.

The new season is upon us and Serie A has officially announced the referees for the matches on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The 36-year-old Piccinini oversees his 22nd Serie A match when Juventus host Sampdoria in their first competitive game with Andrea Pirlo at the helm.

Official: Higuain exit costs Juventus

Juventus have officially terminated their contract with Gonzalo Higuain by mutual consent, which has a negative effect worth €18.3m on their finances.

Despite saving on his salary, letting the striker leave with no transfer fee a year early still sees his value drop significantly.

A statement released by Juventus confirms the early termination ‘generates a negative economic effect on the 2019/20 balance sheet worth €18.3m, due to the residual devaluation of the player.’

Under medical with Leicester booked

Cengiz Under will have his Leicester City medical tomorrow, completing a transfer from Roma, on loan with obligation to buy for €27m.

Sky Sport Italia are confident the tests have been booked for Friday.

It will be a loan deal worth €3m with obligation to buy at the end of the season for a further €24m.

The Turkey international joined Roma from Istanbul Basaksehir for €14.25m in the summer of 2017.

Sky: Done deal for Dzeko and Milik

Sky Sport Italia report Roma, Napoli and Juventus are all in total agreement for Arkadiusz Milik to join the Giallorossi and Edin Dzeko the Bianconeri.

The deal is said to be done, as Dzeko had already agreed personal terms with Juve worth €7.5m per season plus bonuses and the transfer fee for €15m.

Milik was holding up the situation by resisting Roma, but today his agent had a five-hour meeting with the Giallorossi at the Trigoria training ground to resolve those doubts.

Juventus drop Suarez interest

Luis Suarez passed his Italian exam today, but Juventus are reportedly no longer interested in the Barcelona striker, preferring Edin Dzeko.

Multiple sources in Italy today claim Arkadiusz Milik has agreed his move from Napoli to Roma, which in turn frees up Dzeko to sign for Juventus.

Sky Sport Italia and Guardian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirms Suarez is looking for other options.

Petagna ready to fight for a place at Napoli

Report: Milik's agent in Rome to close deal

Napoli forward Arek Milik’s agent has reportedly arrived at Trigoria to meet with Roma, working to close a deal with the Giallorossi.

Milik seems set to leave the San Paolo this summer, as Calciomercato.com reveals his agent David Pantak is in Rome to finalise the agreement with La Lupa.

The report reveals Roma and Napoli have reached an agreement for €18m plus €7m in bonuses to complete the transfer.

Roma are offering a deal worth a total of €5m a year, between bonuses and fixed salary, for the Poland international.
