Chiesa: 'Couldn't have gone better'

Federico Chiesa feels his first Champions League appearance for Juventus ‘could not have gone better’ after a 2-0 win away to Dynamo Kiev.

This was his Champions League debut and only his second match in the Juve jersey, after his red card in the 1-1 draw with Crotone on Saturday.

“I put myself at the disposal of the coach and did what he asked, which was to stay wide and take my man on when I had the ball,” Chiesa told Sky Sport Italia.

Juve chose Chiesa over Aouar

According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus had both Federico Chiesa and Houssem Aouar in their grasp, but could only sign one.

The Bianconeri secured Chiesa from Fiorentina, on loan with option to buy that is practically an obligation, on deadline day.

“Fabio Paratici is one of those directors who is always working on several fronts at the same time,” Sky Sport Italia pundit Di Marzio told JB Live.

“Up until a few hours before the deadline, Juve had Aouar in their grasp, but could only sign one between him and Chiesa.
