Inter’s contract extension offer to Barella revealed

Inter are going to offer Nicolò Barella a new €4.5m-a-year deal until 2026, according to Tuttosport.

The former Cagliari man is one of Antonio Conte’s untouchables as he’s already played 34 games in all competitions so far this season.

The 24-year-old has 10 assists and three goals in 2020-21 and the Nerazzurri’s directors are planning to extend his contract.

Fabio Capello hails Inter and Italy talent Nicolò Barella as ‘without a shadow of a doubt one of the three best midfielders in Europe.’

The 24-year-old has gone from strength to strength, scoring three goals this season in 34 competitive games, but above all providing 10 assists.

Barella to become future Inter captain

Nicolò Barella is set to become the next Inter captain after Samir Handanovic, according to reports in Italy.

The Italy international joined the Nerazzurri from Cagliari in the summer of 2018 in a €40m deal and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, his value has now doubled.

The paper reports Inter have picked the 24-year-old to become the next captain of Inter after Samir Handanovic.

The Nerazzurri are also preparing a new contract offer to extend his stay at the club beyond 2024.

Former Inter midfielder Nicola Berti believes Nicolò Barella is one of the top three midfielders in Europe and ‘is worth €90m.’

Barella scored the opener in Inter’s 2-0 win over Fiorentina on Friday and is regarded as the best midfielder in Italy right now.
