However, Sport Mediaset claims Spurs have moved ahead of the Partenopei for the Paris Saint-Germain winger.

Koulibaly subjected to racism?

Kalidou Koulibaly was reportedly subjected to racism during Napoli’s 1-0 win against Atalanta and had a bottle thrown at him.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the bottle was ‘presumably’ thrown from the Atalanta curva and then given to referee Daniele Orsato by Koulinbaly’s teammate Allan.

The newspaper adds racist chants were soon heard in the defender’s direction.

“Koulibaly agitated by the racist chants? I think the anger has passed now,” Coach Maurizio Sarri told Sky Sport Italia.

Lippi expresses Napoli doubts

Former Juventus boss Marcello Lippi believes Napoli’s Europa League commitments and lack of squad depth could cost them the Scudetto.

Napoli extended their lead at the top of Serie A to four points on Sunday after they won 1-0 at Atalanta, but while Lippi felt they had “a very solid chance” of winning the Scudetto, he warned external factors could count against them.

“It’s an interesting campaign,” the 2006 World Cup-winning CT told Rai Radio.

Napoli dealt Politano blow

Napoli have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Matteo Politano as Sassuolo insist they will only consider selling the winger in the summer.

Politano has moved to the top of Napoli’s wideman wishlist for January, but Giovanni Carnevali made it clear Sassuolo were under no pressure to sell the former Roma attacker.

“Matteo’s a very important player, but Sassuolo’s philosophy is to never deprive ourselves of our most precious players midseason,” the CEO told Tuttosport.

Sarri: 'Particularly enjoyable win'

Maurizio Sarri had a “particularly enjoyable” Napoli win over Atalanta and explained the Lorenzo Insigne touchline incident.

“Winning here is particularly enjoyable, because Atalanta always caused us problems and we know that we made our fans happy,” Sarri told Sky Sport Italia.

Gasperini: 'A balanced encounter'

Atalanta Coach Gian Piero Gasperini saw “a very balanced encounter” in the 1-0 defeat to Napoli, but some issues with the offside technology.

A single goal from Dries Mertens decided the match at the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia in Bergamo.

“It was our first game after the break and we didn’t have the same stamina as usual, weren’t very sharp in attack and it was a very balanced encounter. It wasn’t easy for anyone,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.
