Report: Rodriguez on loan to Napoli

Milan defender Ricardo Rodriguez was on his way to Fenerbahce but will reportedly end up with a move to Napoli on loan with an option to buy.

The Switzerland international had allegedly agreed a move to the Turkish giants, who reportedly had completed a loan deal with an obligation to buy the player for €5m this summer.

But the move to Fenerbahce stalled because of complications with the FFP and the Turkish FA, and now Milan are, according to Alfredo Pedulla, ready to let the full-back leave to direct rivals Napoli on loan with an option to buy.

Rodriguez close to Napoli?

Napoli are reportedly only a few steps away from securing the services of Milan defender Ricardo Rodriguez.

According to the Swiss outlet RSI, the full-back should be close to a reunion with Gennaro Gattuso at the San Paolo, after the proposed move to Fenerbahce has faded.

The report claims that he should pen the deal within the next few hours and sign with the former Milan coach in Naples.

The 27-year-old left-back has only played five times for the Rossoneri this term and could be moving to a direct rival this winter.

Gattuso outwits Sarri's Juve

Gennaro Gattuso overcame Napoli old boy Maurizio Sarri, recording a memorable victory over old rivals Juventus in the process, writes Elio Salerno.

The form book was ripped up at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday evening as Gennaro Gattuso proved the doubters wrong by outsmarting Maurizio Sarri, sending his stale Juventus home empty handed. With Napoli struggling in the bottom half of the Serie A table and a mighty 27 points behind Juve prior to kick-off, a Bianconeri victory appeared the likely outcome. However, Gattuso’s players executed a simple but effective game plan to claim a morale boosting win.

Lippi: 'Scudetto race is open'

Marcello Lippi urges Inter and Lazio to believe in the Scudetto, because “Juventus are only expressing 60 per cent of their potential.”

The gap at the top of the table has been sliced to three points, as although both the chasers were held to draws, the leaders were beaten 2-1 by Napoli.

“Juve didn’t have the right psychological approach at the Stadio San Paolo, perhaps because they saw that Inter and Lazio had already drawn their games,” Lippi told Radio GR Parlamento.
