Mazzarri: 'We never said Scudetto'

Walter Mazzarri claims Napoli cannot be disappointed at dropping behind Milan. “Nobody ever talked about the Scudetto.”

The Partenopei remain in second place, but tonight's 2-1 home defeat to Udinese sees them go six points adrift of the Serie A leaders.

“Nobody ever talked about the Scudetto here. It is something that must grow out of a gradual maturation process,” said the Coach.

Mazzarri: 'Napoli living a dream'

Walter Mazzarri's Napoli are in the thick of the Scudetto race ahead of the game with Udinese. “We are living a dream.”

The Vesuviani haven't been this high up the table since they last won the title in 1990 and are within three points of leaders Milan.

“We are proud to have brought so much enthusiasm to the city,” smiled the Coach, as this season they have filled 1m seats at the San Paolo.

“We are already living a dream, so what could yet come would be above and beyond our dreams.

Allegri turns focus on Napoli

Massimiliano Allegri won't relax in the title race yet, even if he ruled Inter out. “We've got to keep an eye on Napoli.”

Tonight's results have opened up an eight-point gap between Milan and the Nerazzurri with just five games left to play.

“Admittedly eight points with only 15 available is a very tough ask, but rather than celebrate Inter falling behind, I'd keep an eye out for Napoli,” said the Coach.

The Rossoneri thrashed Sampdoria 3-0 while Inter surprisingly fell 2-0 at Parma.
