Cavani: 'Our attitude won't change'

Hat-trick hero Edinson Cavani doesn't want to talk about a Napoli Scudetto. “Our attitude remains the same: give 100 per cent in every game.”

The Partenopei were trailing 2-0 on home turf to Lazio this afternoon, but fought back for an amazing 4-3 win that put them in second place.

“Let us enjoy this victory,” said the striker. “Our attitude remains the same: give 100 per cent in every game for this city and this team.

Lotito: 'Napoli did not play fair'

Lazio President Claudio Lotito raged at Napoli's 4-3 victory. “We play fair and don't seek to win at all costs, unlike others.”

The Biancocelesti were leading 2-0 at the San Paolo before the late turnaround, which saw Cristian Brocchi's shot probably cross the line without being awarded, then Giuseppe Biava sent off for pushing Edinson Cavani in the penalty incident.

“I am very proud of my team, because we are accustomed to getting our results on the pitch and in deserved fashion,” blasted Lotito.

Reja: 'You can't score three and lose!'

Edy Reja still can't believe Lazio's defeat in Naples. “You can't score three goals at the San Paolo and lose.”

The visitors were leading 2-0, but fell 4-3 in a dramatic Serie A clash.

“You can't come to Naples, score three goals at the San Paolo and lose the game,” said the Coach.

“We prepared for the match well, but when 2-0 up we lacked a bit of determination to kill off the match.

Mazzarri: 'Napoli fired up, not tense'

Walter Mazzarri insists Napoli are “fired up, but not tense” ahead of a potentially decisive clash with Lazio. “I couldn't care less about the Milan derby.”

The Vesuviani are still very much in the title race, trailing leaders Milan by just three points, but must also ensure Udinese and Lazio don't catch them in third.

“When there has been a lot of expectation, we haven't been able to put in great performances so far. I hope to see a Napoli that is fired up, but not tense,” said the Coach.

Reja targets Napoli upset

Edy Reja returns to face Napoli for the first time as an opponent, but above all “it is a crucial game for Lazio if we want the Champions League.”

The Coach took the San Paolo side from Serie C1 to the top flight in a four-year spell and had never stepped back into this arena before the Sunday lunch-time kick-off.

“It is going to be more decisive for us than for Napoli,” said Reja. “If we want to get into the Champions League, then we have to prove we're on their level.

Maradona is a God, says Cavani

Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has shrugged off comparisons with Diego Maradona, as the Argentine is not only unique but a God in the city.

Cavani has scored 22 goals in Serie A this season, giving Napoli an outside bet of winning the Scudetto with just eight games remaining.

Interviewed by Sky Italia, he was asked to reveal the effect comparisons with Maradona's impact have had on his career at San Paolo.

Santacroce tipped for Italy

Napoli defender Fabiano Santacroce has the ability to become part of the Italy squad again, says his agent.

The defender, a former Under-21 international, is uncapped at full international level but he has been called up to the Azzurri squad in the past.

Although he's struggled to get a regular game at Napoli this term, Claudio Pasqualin is adamant that the player can get his career back on the right path.

"I don't think it would be a scandal to see Santacroce in the Italian national squad," the representative noted.
