Napoli head Donadel queue

The agent of Marco Donadel has revealed that Napoli are in pole position to sign the Fiorentina player.

The former Under-21 international will be out of contract at the end of this month and he is available on a Bosman.

"Donadel's deal is expiring," agent Davide Lippi told Radio Mana Mana on Friday afternoon.

"There are three clubs chasing him and Napoli are ahead of everyone. Saying that, nothing has been written down yet."

Criscito to discuss Napoli terms

Domenico Criscito's agent will reportedly talk with Napoli today after the San Paolo outfit agreed a deal with Genoa.

The Rossoblu have accepted the Azzurri's €6m offer for a share in the player and the move looks to be on.

However, Andrea D'Amico knew relatively little about the negotiations when he was contacted by TMW last night.

"I know that Napoli are interested in the player, but I've not spoken in depth with them about the possibility of a transfer," he stated.

No offer for Poli or Palombo

Sampdoria have rejected claims that Napoli have made enquiries for Angelo Palombo and Andrea Poli.

Both midfielders have been linked with the Champions League qualifiers, especially after the Azzurri's move for Udinese's Gokhan Inler stalled.

However, new Sampdoria sporting director Pasquale Sensibile says it is all just paper talk for now.

"No Napoli official has come to me about Poli and Palombo," Sensibile told Radio CRC.

Messi eyes Napoli clash

Barcelona sensation Lionel Messi has hopes of playing against Napoli in next season's Champions League.

The Azzurri will return to Europe's top club competition for the first time since the glorious days of Diego Armando Maradona, their own Argentine inspiration.

"For us Argentines, the Stadio San Paolo in Naples is mythical," the South American told Il Mattino on Thursday.

"It is always nice to play against sides with a rich history. And if this team also includes Ezequiel Lavezzi then it becomes even more interesting.

"Inler is a player who we are flirting with, but I want to ask him how interested he is in joining us," stated De Laurentiis.

Criscito to Napoli will take time

Genoa's Domenico Criscito won't start discussing personal terms with Napoli until at least the start of next week.

The Azzurri have agreed to sign a 50 per cent share in the Italian international for €6m after talks between the two outfits.

However, speaking to Radio CRC, the former Juventus player's agent insists the deal isn't done just yet.

"The fact that the two clubs have agreed is a good sign, but you need the acceptance of the player in order to conclude a transfer," Andrea D'Amico noted.
