Vucinic wouldn't say 'no' to Napoli

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic would find it hard to turn down a move to Napoli, according to the player's agent Alessandro Lucci.

The Montenegro international has cut a disgruntled figure this season and speculation is mounting that he would like to leave at the end of the season.

Speaking to Radio CrC, Lucci said: "Vucinic is often linked with Napoli. The boy has a contract until 2013 with Roma. He is happy in the team and has a good relationship with the club.

Cannavaro: No tragedy at Napoli

Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro insists there is nothing tragic about his side's 3-0 defeat to Milan on Monday.

The Partenopei had a chance to go joint top of Serie A, but now lie six points adrift of the League leaders.

"Our dream doesn't change," Cannavaro said: "We mustn't make it out to be as tragic as some people are depicting.

"We are used to always looking forward. It's the right thing to do right now.

Napoli will step up interest in Inler

There is mounting speculation that Napoli will make a bid for Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler this summer.

Napoli's interest is longstanding and it's thought that they inquired about the player in January.

Udinese director Gino Pozzo said: "Napoli asked us about Inler again, but we declined the offer."

However, after Napoli's exit from the Europa League last week, Aurelio De Laurentiis made no secret of his desire to sign the Switzerland international.

Ventura has faith in Napoli

Napoli chief has Milan penalty regrets

Napoli director of sport Riccardo Bigon vented his frustration at officials after the 3-0 defeat to Milan. “The penalty changed the game.”

The Vesuviani were beaten at San Siro in last night's Scudetto showdown, but the deadlock was broken by a controversial spot-kick for Salvatore Aronica's handling offence.

“I never make an issue of refereeing performance, but this theory of ‘I've seen them given' is getting tiring,” Bigon told Radio Marte.

Berlusconi: Tonight we beat the South

Silvio Berlusconi has jokingly referred to tonight's match between Milan and Napoli as one against the South of Italy.

The two sides meet at San Siro in what is being billed as a title decider.

Naturally it has evoked memories of the epic battles between Napoli and Milan in the mid to late `80s.

Speaking at a meeting of the Chambers of Commerce, he turned to Carlo Sangalli and apparently said: "We'll see Milan beat the South."

Win was right result, says Allegri

Massimiliano Allegri insists that Milan deserved the win over Napoli – even if he admits the penalty decision was controversial.

The Rossoneri marched to a 3-0 victory after Salvatore Aronica was judged to have handled in the area. Zlatan Ibrahimovic drove home the resulting penalty.

"It looked like a penalty from the sidelines, but there are a few doubts when you see it on the replays," he noted.
