Villarreal playmaker Borja Valero would be keen on a move to Napoli, according to his agent Alejandro Camano.

The 26-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best midfield creators in La Liga and has been linked with Real Madrid.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, Camano revealed: "Borja has said that he likes Napoli a lot, just as he likes Italian football a lot.

"However, Napoli have never hinted at this possibility. I'll say it again: Borja would like to play in Italy a lot.

De Sanctis hits out at Inler

Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has questioned Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler's affinity for the club.

Inler scored a screamer against Napoli on Sunday in a 2-1 win for Udinese but refused to celebrate under the pretext that he has friends back in Switzerland who support the club.

At the time, speculation mounted that the real reason why Inler didn't celebrate was because he is joining Napoli this summer.

Interviewed by Il Corriere dello Sport, De Sanctis said: "I was angry with Inler for his powerful and precise shot.

Zamparini happy to see Cavani score

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says he is happy to see former player Edinson Cavani score on a prolific basis for Napoli.

Cavani left Palermo last summer after three and a half years in Sicily.

He has scored 25 goals in Serie A for Napoli this season and looks set to challenge Antonio Di Natale to be Capocannoniere.

"Every time that I see him score for Napoli I am happy," Zamparini told Radio Kiss Kiss. "If Napoli managed to keep Maradona in the past I believe that they won't have any problems keeping Cavani."

Agent: 'Tottenham want Maggio'

“Tottenham have viewed Christian Maggio” so Napoli should offer a new contract, said his agent.

The winger is an Italy international and one of the keys to the Partenopei's climb to second place this season.

“Maggio is appreciated both abroad and in Italy. After all, he does play in a special position,” Massimo Braschi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“We are waiting for a sign from the club. We said we'd meet again with the directors, then nothing else came of it.

Inler: 'Why I didn't celebrate...'

Gokhan Inler denies he refused to celebrate against Napoli because he has a deal, but the Udinese star's agent has a different version of events.

The midfielder raised eyebrows when he scored the opening goal in Udinese's 2-1 victory at the San Paolo on Sunday night and pointedly did not celebrate.

The fact he has been reportedly in talks for a summer transfer to Napoli contributed to the speculation.

Inler denies Napoli rumours

Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler has denied claims that the reason he didn't celebrate his goal against Napoli is because he is moving to the San Paolo in June.

The Switzerland international scored a screamer in a 2-1 victory that all but ends Napoli's hopes of winning the Scudetto this season.

Inler's goal wasn't just conspicuous by its quality, but by the absence of a celebration too, which indicated that he has ties to Napoli.

Udinese have previously said that they will sell either Alexis Sanchez or Inler this summer.
