Roma will have to do without Paulo Dybala for their coming match with Sassuolo after the star forward suffered a thigh muscle injury.

The 30-year-old Argentinian forward has been one of the most important figures in the Giallorossi squad this term, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in 28 appearances across all competitions, being a focal point on the pitch and leader in the dressing room.

The only downside for Dybala this season has been his struggles with minor injuries; the 30-year-old has missed six league games through various issues over the last few months, limiting him to just 20 starts across 28 matches.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Dybala has suffered a slight muscle injury to the adductor of his right thigh, an injury that’ll keep him sidelined for around 10 days. As such, he’ll miss Roma’s match with Sassuolo and Argentina’s upcoming friendlies against El Salvador and Costa Rica.

There is also concern regarding Romelu Lukaku, who is dealing with hip inflammation. Daniele De Rossi will deploy Sardar Azmoun should the Belgian be forced to sit out.
