Napoli spending ends with Vargas

Napoli have claimed that the capture of Eduardo Vargas will be their only piece of transfer business in January.

The Chile international will join the club in the New Year after the Azzurri beat a host of outfits for his signature.

“Our club doctor is on his way to Chile for the last checks,” Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon noted. “It’s a deal that we will probably complete.

It was confirmed over the weekend that Universidad de Chile had agreed a deal worth around €12m.
