Napoli drop Deulofeu for Politano

Matteo Politano will reportedly push Sassuolo to join Napoli after they missed Simone Verdi and cooled their interest in Gerard Deulofeu.

The Partenopei were turned down by Bologna winger Verdi today, who refused to leave the Stadio Dall’Ara halfway through the season.

Lucas Moura of Paris Saint-Germain is another potential option, but considered too expensive even on loan due to his salary.

Genoa fight Getafe for Ciciretti

Amato Ciciretti is heading to Napoli in June, but Genoa have now overtaken Getafe as favourites for the Benevento forward’s loan.

His contract with Benevento expires at the end of the season and he has already agreed to join Napoli as a free agent.

It’s unlikely he will see out the campaign at the Stadio Scida, as Benevento want to cash in with a paid loan spell.

Getafe had seemed a done deal, but Tuttomercatoweb claim that Genoa have suddenly dived in with a new proposal for the free kick specialist.

Ausilio flies out for Rafinha

The Nerazzurri are keen to sign Rafinha this month, and the director admitted last night they were “confident” a transfer could be agreed.

It would have to be a loan with option to buy, and Premium Sport believes Ausilio is in Catalonia today to finalise the deal.

However, he will also make overtures to Deulofeu, but the deal would again have to be a loan with option to buy.
