Coppa: Lazio put four past Cremonese

Jony ran riot with Cremonese as Lazio comfortably beat the Serie B side 4-0 in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.

The Spanish winger was involved in all three goals from open play as Lazio had no trouble against the squad from the second tier.

Patric and Marco Parolo found the net during the first half, as Ciro Immobile added his 109th goal for the Biancocelesti in the second half.

Patric arrived first to a loose ball in the middle of the box after a low cross from Jony at the left and sent Lazio ahead after 10 minutes at the Olimpico.

Gattuso not out to offend Ancelotti

Coppa: Napoli 2-0 Perugia

Lorenzo Insigne scored a brace from the penalty spot to help Napoli beat Perugia 2-0 in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia, as Diego Demme was introduced to the fans.

Three penalties in the first half was the talking point at the San Paolo after the initial 45 minutes, two of them converted by Insigne and one saved by Davide Ospina in the Partenopei goal.

Perugia struggled to make something out of their few other chances, as Napoli controlled the match and introduced their new signing from RB Leipzig after 65 minutes.

Official: Setien new Barcelona coach

Barcelona have officially sacked Ernesto Valverde, so will have new coach Quique Setien on the bench against Napoli in the Champions League.

The Blaugrana have hired former Real Betis boss Setien following a crisis meeting with President Josep Maria Bartomeu.

It is a highly unusual occurrence, seeing as Barcelona haven’t fired a manager mid-season since Louis van Gaal 17 years ago.

The 55-year-old has been at Camp Nou since the summer of 2017 and his contract was due to expire in June.
