Milan ultras: 'Wash dirty linen in private!'

The Milan ultras have released a statement urging their current and former directors to “wash your dirty linen in private” after a series of ugly public spats.

Over the last few days, director Zvonimir Boban has openly accused CEO Ivan Gazidis of “going behind our backs” by contacting coach Ralf Rangnick for next season, without informing Boban or Paolo Maldini.

Maldini hits back at Mirabelli

Mirabelli: 'Rangnick will need time'

Massimiliano Mirabelli, former sporting director of Milan, said Ralf Rangnick will need time, Zvonimir Boban showed courage and slammed Paolo Maldini.

Milan are going through some big changes and the appointment of Ralf Rangnick seems like the next big step in a plan to get the Rossoneri back among the elite of Italian and European football.

But the former director Mirabelli has warned that it will take time for the German to adapt to his San Siro surroundings.

Mirabelli: 'How is Maldini a director?'

Former Milan director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli hit out at Paolo Maldini. “Having him as a director is like a doctor who didn’t go to elementary school.”

The feud between the men had already been evident for some months and flared up again after Zvonimir Boban blasted CEO Ivan Gazidis.

“Maldini was a great player, but he should be asked: ‘What have you ever done to become a director?’” Mirabelli told Tuttomercatoweb.

Mirabelli: 'Great players don't make great directors'

Former Milan director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli has criticised Paolo Maldini, saying “those who have played at the highest levels are not necessarily capable of being directors.”

Mirabelli was director of sport at the Rossoneri for just over a year, but was ousted in the summer of 2018 as Li Yonghong lost control of the club due to defaulting on a €300m loan from Elliott Management.

Mirabelli spoke to Calciotoday.it about the current iteration of the club, and had some stern words for Rossoneri legend Paolo Maldini.

Mirabelli: 'We knew who was in charge at Milan'

Former Milan director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli has lambasted the current Rossoneri regime, “when I was there, we knew who was in charge.”

Mirabelli was director of sport for Milan for just over a year, following Li Yonghong’s takeover of the club from Silvio Berlusconi in April 2017.

However Mirabelli was ousted from the club in the summer of 2018 when it was repossessed by Elliott Management group after Li Yonghong defaulted on a €300m loan to the American group.
