Milan set to appoint director Massara

Milan are expected to sign former Roma director of sport Frederic ‘Ricky’ Massara as early as today, with Marco Giampaolo as Coach on Friday.

The Rossoneri have been in the unusual position of beginning the summer transfer window without a director of sport, as Leonardo resigned on the same day as Gennaro Gattuso’s exit by mutual consent.

They had targeted Lazio’s Igli Tare, but he opted to remain at the club where he has been for a decade.

Report: Milan scope out Lovren

Milan are reportedly scoping out a potential deal for Liverpool and Croatia defender Dejan Lovren.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, Milan are ‘probing’ Lovren to see how much he would cost in terms of transfer fee and wages.

The 29-year-old has played 170 times for Liverpool since moving from Southampton in the summer of 2014, winning the Champions League last season.

However, injuries and the arrival of Virgil van Dijk limited him to just 18 appearances in 2018-19.
