Premier League calls for Conti

Milan have reportedly warned that right-back Andrea Conti is not for sale, despite interest coming from the Premier League.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolò Schira, the Rossoneri deem the defender untouchable, and their potential new Coach Marco Giampaolo is said to be a big fan of the Italy international.

The 25-year-old joined the Diavolo from Atalanta in 2017 for €25m and has been desperately unlucky with injuries since his arrival, making just 20 appearances during his two years at San Siro.

The Rossoneri have been beset by problems this season, yet remain only three points adrift of Atalanta in that fourth spot.

“The mood is positive, as despite a negative spell, we always believed in our chances. Unfortunately, it no longer just depends on us,” Conti told Sport Mediaset.
