Lazio line up Samp pair?

Lazio have reportedly lined up Sampdoria pair Lucas Torreira and Luis Muriel as replacements for Lucas Biglia and Keita Balde Diao.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the duo have already been approved by Coach Simone Inzaghi as suitable reinforcements for his Lazio squad.

Torreira enjoyed a breakthrough 2016-17 campaign as the creative heartbeat of Samp’s midfield, but the 21-year-old is reportedly seeking a significant pay rise in order to stay with the Blucerchiati.

Ferrero: 'Schick stays, Muriel goes'

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero is confident Patrik Schick will remain for another season, but Luis Muriel “should go to a big club.”

The Blucerchiati patron spoke to TMW Radio about the strikers currently attracting a lot of interest from clubs all over Europe.

“We have not met Schick’s agent this week. I really hope and believe that he will stay here next season. The lad is in good shape and (Coach Marco) Giampaolo is teaching him football.

Sevilla ask Samp for Torreira

Sevilla are preparing an offer for Sampdoria and Uruguay talent Lucas Torreira, but want a discount on his €12m release clause.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Estadio Deportivo, the Liga club is ready to surge forward in its interest for Torreira.

The 21-year-old creative midfielder is one of the lowest-paid players at Marassi, having come up through the Pescara youth academy to join Samp for €2m.

Pescara are also due 20 per cent of any future transfer fee as part of that deal.

Agent: 'Roma and Sevilla want Torreira'

Lucas Torreira “is tracked by Roma and Sevilla, but the Sampdoria President wants €15m,” said his agent.

The Uruguayan talent only just turned 21 and has been in Italy since January 2014, moving from the Pescara youth academy to Sampdoria.

“I have no doubts that Torreira is much sought-after in the summer transfer market,” agent Pablo Bentancur told Radio 890.

“As of today, he is tracked by Roma and Sevilla, but the Sampdoria President wants €15m for a sale.”

Monchi brings Torreira to Roma?

Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly on the shortlist of incoming sporting director Monchi.

The former goalkeeper is leaving Sevilla at the end of the season, and it seems all-but certain that he will join the Giallorossi.

As well as considering possible replacements for Luciano Spalletti, including Manuel Pellegrini and Unai Emery, Corriere della Sera believes Monchi has a shortlist of players to target.

Everton to scout Sampdoria trio

Everton will reportedly send scouts to Inter-Sampdoria, to watch Lucas Torreira, Dennis Praet and Patrik Schick.

The Blucerchiati face Juventus at Marassi on Sunday, but travel to face Stefano Pioli's side a week on Monday.

According to Tuttomercatoweb there will be an Everton scout in attendance at San Siro, as they’re keeping tabs on three of Samp’s players.

Torreira: 'I'd like to play for Juve'

Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira confessed he “would like to play for Juventus” ahead of this weekend’s encounter.

The 21-year-old Uruguayan has been linked with numerous top clubs after impressing for Pescara last season and Sampdoria this term.

“Juve is a very important club and I would like to play for them, but right now I am focused on this squad that has given me so much,” Torreira told Sky Sport Italia.

Lucas Torreira “received interest from Roma, Sevilla and Milan,” so will likely be leaving Sampdoria, revealed his agent.

The Uruguayan midfielder turns 21 this weekend and has made 22 appearances for Samp this term between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

“Lucas is a strong player and received interest from many clubs like Roma, Sevilla and Milan,” agent Pablo Bentancur told Tuttomercatoweb.

Roma's best defence is midfield

A single investment should be enough for Roma to secure second place, writes Andrea Tallarita, but it must be chosen carefully.

Alongside Milan, Torino and Atalanta, Roma are one of a number of teams that look stronger now than when they started in September. Sampdoria: ‘Torreira isn’t leaving’

Sampdoria have released a statement denying that Lucas Torreira could leave - “there’s a great relationship”.

The player’s agent announced yesterday that the 20-year-old is keen to leave the club, but he and the media have been slapped-down by the Blucerchiati.

“In regard to the news published by the media, U.C Sampdoria stresses that there is no controversy with Torreira,” an official statement on Samp’s website reads.
