Fiorentina to send back Cutrone?

Fiorentina are reportedly planning to send striker Patrick Cutrone back to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Cutrone only joined Fiorentina in January on an 18-month loan with an option to buy for a reported €16m.

However, after just nine appearances and one goal, The Daily Mail writes the Viola want to return the 22-year-old, preferring a ‘more experienced’ forward to complement Dusan Vlahovic.

Cutrone: 'Scared of coronavirus'

Fiorentina striker Patrick Cutrone has admitted that he was ‘scared’ of coronavirus and pledged to dedicate his goals to those on the frontline.

Cutrone tested positive for COVID-19 last month but has since made a full recovery, and the Milan youth product revealed to Tuttosport how he dealt with the virus.

“Luckily I’m fine now, the worst is behind me,” he told the newspaper.

“I can’t say I wasn’t scared. This is a sneaky virus, which no-one knows about.

Cutrone: 'Struggled to move' during coronavirus

Fiorentina and Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone admits he was “struggling to move” when suffering from coronavirus, but is back to training now.

The forward was one of several Viola players and staff who tested positive for COVID-19.

“I was in bed with a fever for quite a few days, I had a sore throat, cough and my muscles were aching,” Cutrone told Sky Sport Italia.

Fiorentina trio free of coronavirus

Fiorentina have announced that players Patrick Cutrone, German Pezzella and Dusan Vlahovic “are no longer positive for COVID-19.”

The three players were among several figures at the club to test positive for the coronavirus, including members of staff and their chief medic.

“ACF Fiorentina is delighted to announce that tests have revealed that Patrick Cutrone, German Pezzella and Dusan Vlahovic are no longer positive for COVID-19,” read a statement.

Pezzella: 'The worst has passed'

Fiorentina player German Pezzella has admitted that he was “afraid” when he tested positive for coronavirus but said “the worst period is behind me”.

Two weeks has passed since the Argentine centre-half and forward Patrick Cutrone tested positive for COVID-19 and the captain has revealed that he has been fortunate and will go through another test.

“I had some symptoms but fortunately nothing serious,” he told Corriere dello Sport. “I calmly went through this experience, but I was a bit afraid at the beginning.

Iachini: 'Symptoms disappeared quickly'

Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini gave an update on the three players who tested positive for coronavirus. “Fortunately, their symptoms disappeared quickly.”

Dusan Vlahovic was the first member of the squad to be confirmed with COVID-19, quickly followed by Patrick Cutrone, German Pezzella and a couple of staff members.

“Our players are fine at the moment. Those who tested positive for the virus had a few symptoms, but fortunately those disappeared quickly,” Iachini told news agency ANSA.

Agent: 'Cutrone feeling better'

Agent Giovanni Branchini has reassured the fans that Fiorentina forward Patrick Cutrone “is getting better”, after testing positive for the Coronavirus.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Milan forward arrived at the Viola this winter, after an unsuccessful spell in the Black Country.

On Saturday, the 22-year-old forward sent out a message to thank the fans “for all your support and messages of affection”.

Cutrone: 'Thank you for messages'

Fiorentina forward Patrick Cutrone, on loan from Wolves, sent out a message after testing positive for Coronavirus. “Thank you for all your support and messages of affection.”

The former Milan striker is one of three Fiorentina players to test positive, after Dusan Vlahovic and German Pezzella.

“Thanks to all of you for the support and your messages of affection. I’m fine, and at this moment I stay at home following the protocol I received,” he wrote on Instagram.

Pezzella: 'Soon just another story to tell'

Fiorentina defender German Pezzella sent a message via Instagram after he and teammates Patrick Cutrone and Dusan Vlahovic tested positive for Coronavirus.

“As you know, after the tests and two days with some symptoms, they confirmed I have COVID-19,” wrote the Argentina international.

“The symptoms have now disappeared and I am at home following the procedures indicated by my club’s medical staff.

Pezzella and Cutrone contract Coronavirus

Fiorentina players Patrick Cutrone and German Pezzella have both tested positive for the Coronavirus, following the announcement last night that Dusan Vlahovic has also tested positive.

Fiorentina announced last night that striker Vlahovic tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, as the Coronavirus is otherwise known as.

Vlahovic follows Juventus’ Daniele Rugani and five Sampdoria players, Omar Colley, Albin Ekdal, Antonino La Gumina, Manolo Gabbiadini and Morten Thorsby in contracting the virus.
