No to Cutrone and €50m for Belotti

Torino have rejected the latest Milan proposal for Andrea Belotti, claim Tuttosport, which would be Patrick Cutrone plus €50m.

The 24-year-old striker has a €100m release clause in his contract, but it is valid only for clubs outside of Italy.

Milan have consistently been linked with Il Gallo, partly because he is a self-confessed Rossoneri supporter since childhood.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport newspaper, Torino have turned down another offer from San Siro.

Milan: Kalinic out, Mandzukic in?

Milan are ready to sell Nikola Kalinic after their worst goals tally since 1985-86 and go for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, it’s reported.

The Rossoneri look to be missing out on a Champions League spot after their 1-1 draw with Torino last night, and could even be in a battle to retain their Europa League qualification.

Perhaps the biggest problem they face is in front of the net, as for the first time since 1985-86, none of their strikers have been able to reach double figures in a Serie A season.

Belotti still on Milan radar

Andrea Belotti has battled injuries and difficult form, but Milan should still take a hard look at him, writes Matthew Santangelo

Andrea Belotti’s 2016-17 Serie A campaign put him on the map not only in Italy, but all over Europe due to his tenacity in the final third and knack for finding the net. His 26 goals saw him finish third in the scoring charts behind Edin Dzeko and Dries Mertens, and ahead of household names like Gonzalo Higuain, Mauro Icardi and Ciro Immobile.

These numbers were all indicative of a breakout few expected early on in his career, prompting several clubs to ramp up their efforts last summer in order to lure him away from Turin.

Gattuso tells off Calhanoglu

Gennaro Gattuso felt the 3-1 defeat to Juventus “doesn’t reflect the Milan performance, but nobody will remember that” and criticised Hakan Calhanoglu.

Leonardo Bonucci had cancelled out the Paulo Dybala opener, but after Calhanoglu rattled the crossbar, Sami Khedira set one up for Juan Cuadrado and scored the other himself.

Cutrone will be rewarded for his breakout campaign with Milan and Italy, according to Donato Orgnoni, who also praised ex-Rossoneri full-back Mattia De Sciglio.

“Did I imagine De Sciglio and Cutrone would be Juve-Milan protagonists a year ago? To be honest, I had this idea in my head and told it to some of my friends in confidence,” he told Tuttosport.
