Roma surpass Juve for Reynolds

In a sudden turnaround, it’s reported Roma have beaten Juventus to the signing of FC Dallas defender Bryan Reynolds.

The Giallorossi had been the first to chase him down several weeks ago, then Juve emerged as the favourites, sending him on loan to Benevento first.

They had to take this step, because the Bianconeri have already filled their non-EU slots.

However, there were delays in getting the deal done and FC Dallas were more inclined to work with Roma than Juventus.

Reynolds to Benevento on loan

The path has reportedly been set for FC Dallas full-back Bryan Reynolds, who will be signed by Juventus and loaned out to Benevento until at least June 2021.

Tuttomercatoweb reports the USA U23 international is on the verge of securing a move to Italy, with Juventus close to reaching an agreement with Dallas and the player.

The 19-year-old is expected to be sent on loan at Benevento for the remainder of 2020-21.

According to the outlet, the loan deal will be automatically renewed for the 2021-22 season if the Streghe stays up.

Crotone ask Houston Dynamo for Struna

Crotone are in talks with the Houston Dynamo to bring defender Aljaz Struna back to Serie A, claim Sky Sport Italia.

According to Sky transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the negotiations are already in full swing.

It would be a permanent move and not a loan deal.

The 30-year-old centre-back is a Slovenia international and no stranger to Italy, having played there since 2012 with Palermo, Varese and Carpi.

Struna was sold to Houston Dynamo in January 2019 for €0.5m.

He made 49 appearances for the MLS club in all competition.

Benevento confirm Reynolds-Juve talks

Benevento director of sport Pasquale Foggia confirms they are in talks with Juventus for FC Dallas talent Bryan Reynolds, but ‘I can’t say it’s a done deal.’

The full-back cannot join Juve in January because the Bianconeri have already filled their quota of non-EU players.

Therefore, he’d be signed in synergy with Benevento and remain there for six months before being ‘sold’ to Juventus in June.
