Friendly: Sassuolo see off Empoli

Domenico Berardi’s goal proved the only difference between Sassuolo and Empoli in today’s pre-season friendly.

Berardi was lively from the start with several chances, but was alert to pounce on a misplaced back-pass to break the deadlock after 26 minutes.

Alberto Brignoli’s saves prevented Berardi adding to his tally, while Francesco Caputo and Leo Stulac tested the Neroverdi goalkeeper.
