De Rossi maintains MLS dream

Daniele De Rossi admits he would like to finish his career in MLS, and affirms confidence in Roma’s direction under Rudi Garcia.

In an interview with Roma TV where he was prompted to comment on a series of slides, being shown one of himself alongside an NFL player saw the Giallorossi's Capitan Futuro reiterate his attraction for the United States.

“I like these sports, in European football we are at extremely high levels but they know their stuff too,” said the defensive midfielder.

'No Italian offers' for Giovinco

Sebastian Giovinco could terminate his Juventus contract early to start work at Toronto FC, as his agent admits “there were no Italian offers.”

The Atomic Ant has already signed on for the MLS club from July, when he will be a free agent, but may well have played his last game for Juve anyway.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus are negotiating the possibility of terminating the contract by mutual consent early.

It would allow Juve to save on six months of wages and the forward to begin settling into his new life in Canada.

Di Natale eyes foreign move?

Reports indicate that Antonio Di Natale intends to leave Udinese in the summer to continue playing, with interest from America and the Middle East.

The 37-year-old announced his retirement last season, only to be later convinced otherwise by the club's fans and President.

However, attempts to further extend his playing time with the Zebrette beyond this season may have reached a final stop, even if the striker intends to go on playing elsewhere.

Giovinco agent: 'Toronto critics ignorant'

Sebastian Giovinco’s agent said those criticising his move to Toronto FC are “ignorant” about the MLS.

The Juventus striker will be a free agent at the end of the Serie A season and already signed a contract with the Canadian club.

“Those criticising the decision to join Major League Soccer show they are ignorant about this sector,” agent Andrea D’Amico told alfredopedulla.com.

Toronto officials welcome Giovinco

Toronto FC’s directors and current players have spoken out to express their delight at the capture of Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco.

Today’s statement confirming the 27-year-old’s agreement to move from Turin to Toronto on a Bosman deal in June contained reaction from Giovinco, as well as a number of his future MLS team’s current members.

Giovinco: ‘Excited by Toronto’

Sebastian Giovinco has greeted Toronto FC fans and expressed his excitement in agreeing to move to the MLS club this summer.

The Canadians have today confirmed that the 27-year-old will sign for them on undisclosed contractual terms at the expiry of his Juventus contract in June.

Whilst offering a brief greeting to his future club’s fans in a video message posted by Toronto, the Italy international was also quoted in the club’s Press release on the move.

Official: Toronto sign up Giovinco

Juventus striker Sebastian Giovinco will move to Toronto FC at the end of this season as a free agent, the MLS side have confirmed.

Reports had being growing of an agreement with the Atomic Ant, with it believed that he has signed a deal with the Canadian club for €8.6m spread over four years.

Toronto FC have now confirmed the 27-year-old’s capture, minus the details on his contract, through their website and a live streaming event today.

Juve on Pogba and Giovinco

Beppe Marotta denied knowledge of Sebastian Giovinco’s Toronto FC move and said Paul Pogba is “resisting” big offers.

The general manager spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight’s Serie A match against Verona.

“We are accustomed to putting together a squad during the summer. We are not in any emergency situation, so there’s no need to sign anyone in January.

“Of course if a good opportunity was to present itself, then we would take it, but at the moment I don’t see any.”

Report: Giovinco signs for Toronto FC

Canadian media are adamant Juventus rebel Sebastian Giovinco has already agreed a move to Toronto FC.

The Atomic Ant has refused to sign a contract extension and will therefore become a free agent in July.

According to Sportsnet.ca, Giovinco has agreed terms on a four-year deal after his entourage met with MLS officials this week.

The rumour had already emerged in Italy, but Canadian sources claim the move will formally be announced as early as Monday or Tuesday.
