Emre Can to United gets closer

Sky Sports is now reporting Manchester United are considering a January move for Juventus midfielder Emre Can.

Emre Can’s future seems shrouded in doubt after Juve left him out of their Champions League squad.

After Tuttosport wrote on Tuesday that the German could potentially follow Max Allegri and Mario Mandzukic to Old Trafford, Sky Sports in the UK is now running the line too.

Report: Allegri to United 'very close'

Former Juventus boss Max Allegri is reportedly “very close” to Manchester United - and both Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic could follow him.

According to Tuttosport, negotiations have “intensified” between United and Allegri, who stands to earn a bigger salary than the €7.5m he received at Juve.

The newspaper adds there could be a domino effect as the track “remains wide open” between Mandzukic and the Red Devils.

The Croat would also not be the only player the Coach is targeting for his Old Trafford revolution.

Emre Can sees red for Germany

Juventus player Emre Can was sent off just 14 minutes into Germany’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Estonia.

Usually a midfielder at Juve, he was part of the back three in this evening’s game in Tallinn.

The match didn’t last long for the 25-year-old, who was shown a straight red card after only 14 minutes.

He was considered last man with a mistimed lunge on Frank Liivak on the edge of the penalty area.

Argentina grab Germany draw

Rodrigo De Paul hit the woodwork with a scorching strike, as Argentina fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Emre Can’s Germany.

The friendly match was played in Dortmund, with the Seleccion starting Inter striker Lautaro Martinez and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala together.

It was another Serie A player, Udinese creative midfielder De Paul, who made a good impression with his long-range screamer rattling the frame of the goal.

Germany went 2-0 up by half-time with goals from Serge Gnabry and Kai Havertz.

United swap Pogba for Juve pair?

Juventus are reportedly planning to exchange Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba this January.

Pogba stayed at United over the summer, but the midfielder appears to have no desire playing for the Red Devils.

With that in mind, as well as Real Madrid seemingly pulling out of the race, Tuttosport claims all paths could lead to Juve.

The Frenchman won four Scudetti with the Bianconeri before moving back to Old Trafford in 2016 for a then-world record fee of €110m.

Germany: Emre Can yes, Khedira no

Germany have called up Emre Can for their Euro 2020 qualifier with Estonia, but Juventus teammate Sami Khedira remains out.

Khedira has started seven of Juve’s eight games this season, despite being tipped to leave over the summer.

However, the midfielder must wait longer for a recall, with his last inclusion in the squad coming over a year ago at the 2018 World Cup.

On the other hand, Emre Can is in on the back of just 59 minutes of football for the Bianconeri.

Sarri: 'I haven't watched Inter'

The Bianconeri won 2-0 this afternoon with goals from Pjanic and Cristiano Ronaldo, although only a series of Etrit Berisha super saves prevented a rout.
