Moggi sentenced for Baldini threats

Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi has been sentenced to four months in prison for threatening former Roma director Franco Baldini.

The charges stem from the trial relating to GEA World, an agency run by Moggi’s son, Alessandro.

The Italian high court last year annulled a conviction for putting pressure on players to be represented by the agency, but this was a separate trial.

Spalletti assistant wants Napoli

Luciano Spalletti’s assistant manager at Zenit said it would be “fantastic” if they replaced Rafa Benitez at Napoli.

Spalletti was fired by Zenit, but remains under contract until the end of the season along with his assistant Daniele Baldini.

“I would love to work at Napoli, even if that meant the lowest of the youth team rankings,” Baldini told Radio Crc.

“As a player I hoped to join Napoli and now I have the same wish as a Coach. It would be absolutely fantastic.

Baldini to leave Spurs?

It is reported that Tottenham Hotspur technical director Franco Baldini could be set to leave the club.

The Premier League outfit announced Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager earlier this week, with the Argentine signing a five-year contract at White Hart Lane.

However, The Times report that it is unlikely the Italian will remain in North London as the new era begins.

Tottenham opt for Allegri?

The Corriere dello Sport believe that former Milan Coach Max Allegri has agreed to become Tottenham manager from the summer.

The Premier League club are seen as on the lookout for a new Coach for next season, amid reports that Tim Sherwood will not be continuing beyond the end of the current campaign.

Previously linked with Cesare Prandelli and Louis van Gaal, with the latter encouraging speculation himself, the Corriere dello Sport suggest Spurs have taken their decision and gone for Allegri.
