Haaland set for Dortmund?

Serie A target Erling Braut Haaland has reportedly landed in Germany to enter negotiations with Borussia Dortmund.

The local newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten claims the RB Salzburg striker travelled with agent Mino Raiola and were picked up by representatives of the Bundesliga club.

Ahead of the match against Liverpool in the Champions League, his father and former Leeds United player Alf-Inge Haaland told Norwegian TV2 that they were “quite relaxed” about his future.

Sarri: 'Juve need this focus'

Maurizio Sarri explained why he introduced Paulo Dybala to break the Bayer Leverkusen deadlock, but reiterated the importance of Juventus “focus.”

The Bianconeri secured a 2-0 victory at the BayArena, allowing him to match the 16-point group record set by Marcello Lippi in 1996-97 and Fabio Capello in 2004-05.

CL: Round of 16 pots

Juventus could face the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Tottenham in the Champions League Round of 16, while Napoli and Atalanta risk PSG and Barcelona.

There are three Italian teams going into the draw for the first knockout round, while Inter drop into the Europa League.

It will be held on Monday at 11.00 GMT and the seeded teams will play the second leg at home.

Juve won their group and are therefore top seeds in the draw, so they cannot face Atletico Madrid (having already played in the group stage) or fellow Italians Napoli and Atalanta.

Higuain: 'Always important to win'

Gonzalo Higuain insists “it is always important” for Juventus to win, as they beat Bayer Leverkusen after already securing top spot in their Champions League group.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Higuain both made the most of Paulo Dybala assists for a 2-0 result at the BayArena.

“It’s a difficult match in terms of attitude and motivation, because we were top and they were still challenging for qualification,” Pipita told Sky Sport Italia.

Paratici: 'Eyes on Juve squad players'

Fabio Paratici believes tonight’s Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen is “a great opportunity” for Juventus’ squad players to impress.

The match in Germany is a dead-rubber for Juve, given they are already certain of not only qualification for the last 16 but also top spot in Group D.

“We expect a great game, we’re happy to have got to this point already qualified,” Paratici told JTV.

Turin mayor in fan deaths trial

Turin mayor Chiara Appendino is to stand trial in February for manslaughter following the fan tragedy before the Champions League Final two years ago.

Fans had congregated in Piazza San Carlo to watch the Champions League Final between Juventus and Real Madrid on a maxi-screen positioned at the top of the piazza on June 3, 2017.

A stampede ensued midway through the second half, when fans believed there was a bomb in the square, and began to panic. The crush resulted in an estimated 1,500 people injured and two deaths.
