Ronaldo travels to Sardinia

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri has decided to bring Cristiano Ronaldo for today’s trip to Sardinia and the Portuguese superstar will be accompanied by eight youngsters.

The Old Lady secured their ninth consecutive Scudetto on Sunday and were expected to make big changes ahead of the match against Cagliari tonight.

ADL: 'Working on Serie A play-offs'

After Juventus won their ninth consecutive Scudetto, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirms he is ‘working with the FIGC towards Serie A play-offs.’

The theory had already been suggested if the 2019-20 season could not be concluded on time due to the COVID-19 crisis.

With the Champions League and Europa League decided by a Final Eight tournament this summer, the project is taking hold.

Platini: 'Dybala more like Maradona than me'

Former Juventus hero Michel Platini thinks Argentine forward Paulo Dybala ‘looks more like Diego Maradona than me’.

Platini picked up two Scudetti, one Coppa Italia and a European Cup during his five years with the Old Lady and retired after having won three Ballon d’Or and three Capocannoniere titles.

Dybala has been likened to the 65-year-old, but the former UEFA President has claimed he is more similar to Napoli legend Maradona.

Ginter rules out Inter move

Inter target Matthias Ginter has distanced himself from a move to Serie A and says he’s happy at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The defender was asked about a move Inter during an interview with Bild and the newspaper says the player expressed his ‘appreciation’ for the interest.

The report has claimed Die Fohlen could be willing to sell Ginter for €40m, but the player intends to stay with Gladbach.

“I feel very comfortable at Gladbach and I still have great objectives here,” he told the German newspaper.

Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo could, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, be rested when the Old Lady travel to Cagliari.

The Bianconeri could decide to rest Ronaldo with Champions League around the corner, despite the Portuguese fighting Ciro Immobile for the Capocannoniere title in Serie A.

Immobile has scored three more than the 35-year-old and the newspaper claims he could end up staying in Turin when the rest of the team travel to Sardinia for Wednesday’s match.

Report: Roma prepare new deals for Zaniolo and Pellegrini

Roma intend to keep both Nicolò Zaniolo and Lorenzo Pellegrini, reportedly preparing new deals worth €3m a year each for the two stars.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed the duo will be offered new deals with the Giallorossi, who are hoping to fend off interested suitors.

Roma must wait for a clearer corporate view, but the newspaper points out that La Lupa are planning to discuss new terms with their stars.

Serie A Week 37 referees

AIA have announced the referees for Wednesday’s games in Serie A Week 37, giving Sampdoria-Milan to Fabrizio Pasqua and Torino-Roma to Marco Piccinini.

The referees have been decided for the penultimate round of fixtures in Serie A and Piccini will be in charge of his first Roma match in 2019-20.

The 36-year-old was at the whistle when Torino beat Bologna 1-0 in January and will oversee his 17th League game this season.

Serie A Week 38 dates and times

Check out how Serie A Week 38 plays out, as the Lega officially announced the dates and times for the last round of fixtures of the 2019-20 campaign.

In accordance with the internal regulatory provisions, the 10 last matches of the current campaign will be held on different days.

The contextuality of the games was not deemed necessary. The European places will therefore be decided on Saturday, whilst the relegation battle continues on Sunday.
