Suarez testing Juve's patience?

Juventus are reportedly getting impatient with Luis Suarez, who has yet to reach an agreement with Barcelona and could end up staying at Camp Nou.

There are many complications to overcome before the Uruguayan can move to the Allianz Stadium and coach Andrea Pirlo reiterated that he would like to have an attacker available ‘as soon as possible’ after the 5-0 win against Novara today.

Pirlo: 'I know I must win'

Andrea Pirlo knows he must win at Juventus and aims to secure the 10th consecutive Scudetto. ‘It was like that as a player and will be like that as a coach’.

The 5-0 win against Novara today came only one week before the first League match against Sampdoria in Serie A.

“I’m satisfied, we only had two days to train all together,” Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia. “The lads are committed, which was the most important thing.”

Serie A 2020-21 Season Preview

This is not a normal season or transfer window, so this will not be your usual Serie A preview for the 2020-21 campaign.

COVID-19 has transformed the dates for league and European football, even postponing Euro 2020 to June 2021. The Serie A campaign kicks off on September 19, yet the summer transfer window won’t close until October 5, so everything is in a state of constant flux until that deadline has passed.

Every time a new campaign begins, we end up saying the same old clichés about starting from scratch, turning points, the pressure is on this coach or that player. We go into 2020-21 after a practically non-existent pre-season, with the transfer window still open for several weeks and teams in a constant state of flux.

Zola: 'Pirlo could be a brilliant move'

Former Cagliari coach Gianfranco Zola was sorry to see Maurizio Sarri lose his job but has claimed Juventus made a ‘courageous’ and possibly ‘brilliant’ move by appointing Andrea Pirlo.

Zola spent 2018-19 as Sarri’s assistant at his former club Chelsea, having failed to live up to the expectations as head coach of West Ham, Watford and Cagliari.

But the former Napoli, Parma and Cagliari player, believes Pirlo has the ‘knowledge’ to become a success with the Old Lady.
