Pirlo to take Juventus U23 job

Andrea Pirlo will return to Juventus as the coach of their Under-23 team in Serie C, according to Sky Sport Italia, replacing Fabio Pecchia.

The offer had been in the air for several months and Pirlo wanted some time to think about it.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening that the former midfielder has now accepted and will be accompanied by former teammate Roberto Baronio as his assistant manager.

The Juventus U23 team play in Serie C and last week won their first piece of silverware, the Coppa Italia Serie C.

Diaconale: 'Media pressure created against Lazio'

Lazio spokesman Arturo Diaconale hit back at controversy over the win at Fiorentina, insisting ‘media pressure is being created on purpose to cause us problems as we chase Juventus.’

The Biancocelesti beat Fiorentina 2-1 at the weekend, equalising from the spot after Felipe Caicedo seemed to go looking for contact with Bartlomiej Dragowski.

Juventus sell youth pair

Juventus are bringing in another €10m, as Stephy Mavididi is ready to sign for Montpellier, while Kaly Sene is sold to FC Basel.

The Bianconeri are busy bolstering the coffers ahead of the June 30 deadline for the 2019-20 financial year.

According to Sky Sport Italia, L’Equipe, RMC Sport and others, Mavididi is currently in Montpellier to complete that €5m transfer.

He also had an offer from Lille, but much preferred a Ligue 1 club where he will be guaranteed more regular playing time.

Pjanic: 'Can never thank Juve enough'

Miralem Pjanic wrote an emotional farewell to Juventus after completing his transfer to Barcelona. ‘You wear this jersey like a second skin, always give everything, and you’ll never go wrong.’

The deal was done for €60m plus another €5m in variable bonuses, while Arthur Melo went to Turin for €72m plus €10m in add-ons.

Nicola: 'Nothing impossible' against Juve

Davide Nicola urges Genoa to remember ‘nothing is impossible’ as they host Serie A leaders Juventus tomorrow night.

It kicks off on Tuesday at 20.45 UK time (19.45 GMT).

Official: Pjanic sold to Barcelona

After the Arthur Melo to Juventus announcement, now it is also official that Miralem Pjanic is sold to Barcelona for €60m plus €5m add-ons, with a €400m release clause.

It is essentially an exchange between the players, with an additional €12m in cash and a further €10m in variable add-ons going to the Blaugrana.

Arthur is fourth biggest Juventus buy

Completing the transfer from Barcelona at a cost of €72m plus up to €10m in bonuses, Arthur Melo becomes one of the all-time four most expensive Juventus signings.

The deal and specific figures were confirmed via a statement from the Blaugrana website this afternoon.

Miralem Pjanic will be heading the other way, but Arthur still earns his place in the history books as the fourth most expensive signing for Juventus.

Official: Arthur sold to Juventus

Barcelona have announced Arthur Melo’s transfer to Juventus for €72m plus up to €10m in variable bonuses, but Miralem Pjanic’s statement comes later.

“FC Barcelona and Juventus FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Arthur Melo. The Italian club will pay 72 million euros, plus 10 million euros in variables.

Sarri: 'No Juventus doubts on Pjanic'
