Guidolin still respects Juventus

Francesco Guidolin's Udinese have taken mighty scalps this month and tonight eye Juventus. “We go there without arrogance, though.”

Considering current form, some could be forgiven for thinking the Friulani are the favourites for victory in Turin this evening.

“Let's not forget they thrashed us 4-0 in September and can do it again if we don't step on to the field aware we're facing a strong side that is wounded and angry,” warned the Coach.

Marotta: 'Why Juve lost Pazzini...'

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta reveals why they allowed Giampaolo Pazzini to slip through their fingers.

They had been heavily linked with the ex-Sampdoria striker, but saw him complete the transfer to Inter for €12m plus Jonathan Biabiany.

“I have a rapport of great affection and professional respect with Pazzini,” noted Marotta, who was in charge of Samp last season.

“Inter made a very quick swoop and above all a large investment. We were not in the condition to make that economic sacrifice.”

Amauri 'could leave Juve,' says agent

Amauri's agent admits “it's probable he could seek another club,” so Juventus target Alessandro Matri.

The Brazilian with the Italian cap has struggled to find form in Turin and this season barely featured due to a series of injuries.

“Amauri would like to prove his worth at Juve,” agent Gianfranco Pocetta told ilsussidiario.net.

“Now, though, he needs a relaxed atmosphere. If he doesn't find it in Turin, then it's probable he could seek another club.

Agnelli: 'Juve in transitional year'

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli admits he is “annoyed” at the early Cup exits, but stands by Gigi Del Neri's work in a transitional year.

The Bianconeri crashed out of the Europa League in the first round without a single win and lost 2-0 at home to Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-final this week.

“We want to send a clear message to the media and the fans,” said Agnelli in a Press conference.

“We are here to explain where we are and where we want to go. The rest is just cheap talk.

Line-ups: Juve rely on Del Piero

Juventus are forced to reshuffle due to a series of setbacks as they welcome on-form Udinese and Alex Del Piero is the only fit striker.

He has few real options when picking his line-up, as the injury crisis has escalated.

Amauri, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Marco Motta also joined the absentee list over the last few days.

Del Neri: 'We couldn't change game'

The Bianconeri had taken the lead through Claudio Marchisio, but Cristian Zapata and Alexis Sanchez secured a 2-1 Udinese victory.

“With a little more care we could've avoided the goals, but with the men at our disposal, we could not change the match,” shrugged Del Neri.
