Juve ‘after Bellerin & Pau’

Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin and Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez.

According to Tuttosport, Juve are following Pau, who spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur – their opponents in the Champions League last 16 – and whose contract with Espanyol expires this summer.

Bellerin would also be on their agenda, given the two Spaniards are both clients of Goal Management.

Free agent to replace Emerson?

Roma are reportedly weighing up the possibility of replacing Emerson Palmieri with free agent Guilherme Siqueira.

The claim was made by Pagine Romaniste, with Siqueira available at no cost after leaving Atletico Madrid last summer.

The former Udinese left-back had spent the prior 18 months on loan with Valencia but played just 26 times in a season-and-a-half at Mestalla.

The 31-year-old would replace Emerson, who has been the subject of speculation linking him with moves to Juventus and Chelsea.

Napoli drop Deulofeu for Politano

Matteo Politano will reportedly push Sassuolo to join Napoli after they missed Simone Verdi and cooled their interest in Gerard Deulofeu.

The Partenopei were turned down by Bologna winger Verdi today, who refused to leave the Stadio Dall’Ara halfway through the season.

Lucas Moura of Paris Saint-Germain is another potential option, but considered too expensive even on loan due to his salary.

Chelsea join Emerson race

Chelsea have made a firm approach for Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri, who has also been linked with Juventus and Liverpool.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Antonio Conte has set his sights on the Italian-Brazilian.

It’s a risky move, because Emerson has just recovered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament he sustained in May 2017.

If Roma do need to sell someone in order to balance the books in January, they’d rather sacrifice Emerson than Radja Nainggolan or Kevin Strootman.

Juventus fans: ‘Don’t sell Marchisio’

Juventus fans unveiled a banner at Vinovo telling the club not to sell Claudio Marchisio, and urging the midfielder to stay.

The Italian international has struggled to get back to his best after a cruciate ligament injury in 2016, and has played just 456 minutes across 11 games this season.

With his contract expiring in 2020, that has led to speculation he could leave the club, with MLS seen as his most likely destination.

This morning at training a group of fans unveiled a banner reading “Don’t touch Marchisio, stay with us”.
