Napoli squad for Juventus

Napoli have Andrea Petagna and Dries Mertens available for tomorrow’s Supercoppa clash with Juventus.

It kicks off at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia on Wednesday at 20.00 GMT.

Petagna and Mertens have shaken off knocks to be part of the squad for this showdown between the Scudetto and Coppa Italia holders.

Mertens had been out for a month with a sprained ankle, but made his comeback as a substitute in Sunday's 6-0 Serie A win over Fiorentina.

Juve ultras message for Mandzukic

Mario Mandzukic joined Milan today and returned to Serie A, so Juventus ultras wished him ‘six happy months – without victories’ and he replied with ‘pride’ at their praise.

The striker spent five years in Turin before leaving for Al-Duhail in January 2020 and became a fan favourite due to his goals, assists and remarkable work ethic.

This was evident in a message sent by the Curva Sud Juventus 1897 group on Instagram.

Juve defence decimated for Supercoppa

The Juventus defence is decimated for the Italian Supercup against Napoli, as Merih Demiral also drops out with an injury.

It kicks off at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia on Wednesday at 20.00 GMT.

Coach Andrea Pirlo named his squad, who started the trip to Reggio Emilia this afternoon.

Demiral had been expected to start, but he isn’t even in the group due to a fitness issue.

Gianluca Frabotta is included, even though he is not 100 per cent fit following a knock in the 2-0 defeat to Inter.

Mandzukic: 'An honour to join Milan'

Mario Mandzukic thanked Milan ‘for the opportunity to join this great club’ and vowed to ‘give my best’ to help the team succeed.

Milan are top of Serie A after 18 games and Mandzukic has joined to help ease the load in attack, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic returning to the starting line-up for the first time since November, but with another brace, against Cagliari.

The former Juventus forward has been given the No. 9 shirt and looks forward to the ‘honour’ of wearing the ‘iconic’ Rossoneri shirt.

Agent Tullio Tinti has claimed only former Milan defender Paolo Maldini 'played at the same level' as Inter centre-back Alessandro Bastoni ‘at his age’.

Report: Sanchez not injured

Inter reportedly aim to have forward Alexis Sanchez back in contention against Udinese on Saturday.

Napoli: Petagna in full training

Napoli have announced Andrea Petagna trained with the rest of the group, when Nikola Maksimovic was partly involved ahead of the match against Juventus.

The Partenopei prepare for the Supercoppa Italiana at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia tomorrow and the club confirmed Petagna is available for coach Gennaro Gattuso.

“Petagna carried out the entire training with the group,” the club wrote on their official website. “Maksimovic was partly involved in the group work and partly carried out personalised training.”

OFFICIAL: Milan sign Mandzukic

Milan have officially announced the arrival of Mario Mandzukic, who has been given the No9 shirt at San Siro.

The former Juventus striker has signed a deal until the end of 2020-21, with an option to extend for a further year.

“We have a new No9,” Milan wrote on their official Twitter account. “Welcome Mario Mandzukic.”
