Benevento look at strikers after securing Glik

Benevento made Kamil Glik their first signing since the promotion and President Oreste Vigorito has reportedly planned to bolster the attack with either Daniel Sturridge or Graziano Pellè.

The arrival of the former Torino and Monaco defender was confirmed after a successful medical visit at Villa Stuart in Rome.

“I’m very happy, I have missed Italy,” Glik said, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Vigorito: 'Any Italian team would want Sturridge'

Benevento President Oreste Vigorito has claimed it ‘would be an honour’ to bring Daniel Sturridge to the Giallorossi.

The Stregoni have started planning for a return to Serie A, as they sit 22 points above Crotone at second after 29 games in Serie B this term.

The Giallorossi chief spoke to OttoChannel TV about the club’s future and was asked about the reports last week regarding transfer talks with free agent Daniel Sturridge.

Atalanta are among the clubs said to be offering a contract to free agent England international striker Daniel Sturridge.

Report: Bologna in for Sturridge

Bologna are reportedly keen on signing former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge is now a free agent after his Liverpool contract expired, and the Sunday Express claims Bologna have approached the Englishman.

While they are putting together a package for the 29-year-old, the newspaper warns he will need to come down considerably from the £120,000 (€133,000) a week he earned at Anfield.

Sturridge and Moreno free agents

Serie A sides are on the alert for a bargain after Liverpool confirmed Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno are free agents.

The pair will be moving on when their contracts expire at the end of this month.

Official: West Brom sign Sturridge

West Bromwich Albion have officially confirmed the loan signing of Daniel Sturridge, who had been linked with Inter.

The Nerazzurri made a loan bid for the Liverpool striker, who is looking for more playing time ahead of the World Cup.

It was reported earlier today though that the England international would move to the Hawthorns and the Baggies have now officially confirmed the deal.

“England striker Daniel Sturridge has joined Albion on loan for the remainder of the 2017-18 Premier League season,” a statement confirmed.

Inter miss out on Sturridge

Inter look set to miss out on Daniel Sturridge as West Bromwich Albion are close to signing the Liverpool striker.

Inter were among the clutch of clubs in for Sturridge, but Sky Sports reports the striker has chosen West Brom for “family reasons”.

Furthermore, a loan deal until the end of the season could be finalised as early as Monday evening.
