Mascherano: ‘Roma a quality side’

Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano is wary of a ‘quality Roma side’ ahead of their Champions League clash on Wednesday.

The Argentina international also believes that ‘it’s hard to play in Italy’ because ‘it’s not easy to score’.

The two teams meet at Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday evening, with kick off at 19:45 UK time.

"We're really up for returning to the Champions League, a competition that's very special for us,” Mascherano told UEFA.com

Mascherano shuts Serie A door

Javier Mascherano shuts down the option of a transfer to Roma, Juventus or Milan: 'My bond is with Barcelona'.

‘Inter, Juve, Roma, Milan for Mascherano’

Javier Mascherano’s Italian intermediary has given another interview, claiming Juventus, Roma, Milan and Inter want the Barcelona man.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport leads on an interview with Gustavo Mascardi, who claims to be an intermediary for the Argentinian, and that he wants a move to Serie A.

“I was instructed [to act as an intermediary] by one of his agents, [Walter] Tamer, as well as the player,” Mascardi explained, speaking to LaRoma24.

‘Mascherano wants Italy’

Javier Mascherano ‘would like an experience with a big Italian club’, his intermediary on the peninsula reveals.

The Barcelona midfielder, who has also been deployed in the centre of defence, has been linked with Juventus, despite having a contract until 2018.

Now Tuttosport is running an interview with Gustavo Mascardi, claimed to be the Argentine’s intermediary in Italy, who says the 31-year-old would like to move to Serie A.

“Mascherano would like an experience with a big Italian club,” Mascardi told the newspaper.

Juventus are reportedly lining up a move for Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano after Sami Khedira sustained an injury. 

Tuttosport have written today that the Argentina international wants to finish his career in Italy after having spells in the Premier League and La Liga.

The newspaper believes that the Old Lady have lined up the versatile 31-year-old after midfielder Khedira sustained an injury that could keep him sidelined for up to two months.

Mauri: ‘Very happy at Milan’

Jose Mauri says he’s ‘very happy’ after completing a transfer to Milan this afternoon.

The 19-year-old was a free agent following the collapse of Parma, and officially completed his move to the Rossoneri today.
