Cornelius owes Parma fan a beer

Parma forward Andreas Cornelius had a special appeal to a supporter who was in the stands ahead of their game with Sassuolo. Suffice to say, the Dane owes him a beer.

Cornelius kicked a ball into the stands and accidentally struck the pint of beer just as the Parma fan was leaning down to take a sip, much to the amusement of his friends.

Cornelius out with muscle injury

Parma have confirmed that Andreas Cornelius is out with a muscle injury and is added to a long list of absentees at the Ennio Tardini.

After deciding to punish Gervinho and leaving the forward out of their squad until further notice, Roberto D’Aversa received unwanted updates on the Denmark international.

Cornelius has scored eight goals in 15 league games this campaign and bagged the equaliser against Cagliari on Saturday.

Tests have later revealed that he might be out for some time with a tear in the piriformis muscle and

More injury woe for Parma

There is more bad news for Parma as it is confirmed midfielder Matteo Scozzarella is out with a calf injury.

Scozzarella joins a treatment table that already includes Andreas Cornelius, Yann Karamoh and Roberto Inglese.

The defensive midfielder had to come off during the 2-2 draw with Bologna, and exams showed a first-degree injury to his calf muscle.

He will therefore not be able to feature against Milan on Sunday, although he should have recovered by next week.

The 31-year-old has played eight games for the Ducali this season.

A statement from Parma confirmed Cornelius has been diagnosed with a Grade I thigh strain in his left femoral bicep, which is expected to keep him out for a couple of weeks.
