Parma ready to sign Benali

Parma are on the verge of signing midfielder Ahmad Benali, who will be a free agent after two years with Crotone.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, negotiations are at an advanced stage to agree personal terms.

The 28-year-old Manchester-born midfielder impressed at Crotone in Serie B this season, scoring seven goals in 20 games.

He is no stranger to Serie A and B, playing in Italy since 2012 for Brescia, Palermo, Pescara and Crotone.

Benali out for the season

Crotone will be without Ahmad Benali for the rest of the season, after the midfielder broke a bone in his foot.

The Squali have already lost Ante Budimir for the rest of the campaign, and they’ve been dealt another blow in their battle against relegation.

“Football Club Crotone announces that the player Ahmad Benali, after taking a knock in yesterday’s match with Torino, has been subjected to medical tests which showed a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot,” a statement on the club’s website confirmed.

Crotone confirm Ricci arrival

Crotone director general Raffaele Vrenna confirms “we have a deal for Federico Ricci and then the team will be complete.”

The Calabrese club already brought in Ahmad Benali from Pescara and Marco Capuano from Cagliari in the January transfer window.

“We are waiting to conclude the transfer for Ricci, as we have a deal, and then the team will be complete,” said Vrenna at a Press conference.

Ricci is owned by Sassuolo and came up through the Roma youth academy, but the 23-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at Genoa.

Official: Benali joins Crotone

Ahmad Benali has completed his transfer from Pescara to Crotone. “I can’t wait to get on the field with the Crotone jersey!”

The England-born midfielder put pen to paper on the contract this afternoon.

It’s a loan move with option to buy for a reported total €2m.

“I am fired up for this new challenge, thank you to Pescara for the two years we have spent together,” wrote Benali on Twitter.

“Now I can’t wait to get on the field with the Crotone jersey!”

Benali ready for Crotone move

Ahmad Benali is expected to join Crotone on loan from Pescara with option to buy for a total of €2m.

The creative midfielder turns 26 next month and is currently out of action after surgery on a fractured bone in his hand.

Benali was born in England and came up through the Manchester City youth academy.

He has been in Italy since 2012 for Brescia, Palermo and Pescara.

According to Sportitalia, Crotone are close to securing his arrival on loan for €300,000 with option to buy for around €1.7m.

Crotone close on Benali

Crotone are on the verge of securing Pescara attacking midfielder Ahmad Benali.

According to Gazzamercato, the two clubs are very close to finalising a deal in the January transfer window.

Benali turns 26 next month and was born in Manchester, so played for City until moving to Brescia in 2012.

He has since played for Palermo and Pescara, where this season he has contributed five goals and two assists in just 16 competitive games.

Bans announced for Benali, Kondogbia

It is announced that Pescara's Ahmad Benali will receive a three-match ban, while Inter's Geoffrey Kondogbia will miss his side's next two games.

Both men were sent off for dissent in their sides' respective Serie A matches last weekend.

Benali was furious at having not been awarded a penalty in the Delfini's 1-0 home defeat by Crotone. Having been booked for remonstrating with referee Carmino Russo, the 25-year-old continued to protest and was eventually shown a second yellow card for abusive language.
