Milan-Musacchio talks underway

Talks are underway between Villarreal and Milan for Mateo Musacchio, reports suggest.

Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani is in Valencia today to hold talks over the defender, who is believed to be keen on a move to San Siro.

According to Sky, the meeting began at 2pm local time [1pm UK time] as the two clubs look to come to mutually beneficial agreement.

It has been suggested that a fee of €25m might be enough to get the transfer over the line, as the Diavolo look to reinforce the centre of their defence.

Milan hold Barcelona summit

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is reportedly meeting with representatives from Barcelona.

The self-styled condor is expected to meet with Villarreal’s Mateo Musacchio in Ibiza this weekend, but La Repubblica and calciomercato.com report he has other business in Spain.

Galliani is said to be meeting with Barça’s international sporting director Ariedo Braida to discuss commercial matters.

Report: Musacchio to Milan for €25m

Milan are reportedly close to agreeing a €25m move for Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio.

Their interest in the Argentine is well known and CEO Adriano Galliani flew out to Ibiza for negotiations with his entourage.

According to Mediaset Premium, Galliani is very close to securing a deal with Villarreal for €25m.

It is a midway point between the €30m asking price and the original €20m offer.

Musacchio says yes to Milan?

Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio has agreed in principle to join Milan, according to reports.

The Rossoneri are on the hunt for a centre-back, as Cristian Zapata and Alessio Romagnoli are their only two reliable options.

According to Sky, Musacchio met with CEO Adriano Galliani in Ibiza on Saturday, and was presented with the Diavolo project.

The 25-year-old Argentine is thought to have agreed a deal, so now Milan must negotiate with his club.

Galliani: ‘At Milan for the summer’

Adriano Galliani confirms he’ll stay at Milan for “at least” the summer transfer campaign.

A Chinese consortium is in the process of buying-over the Rossoneri, but the deal won’t be completed until after the window shuts, even if it goes through.

“Certainly I’ll remain [joint] CEO of Milan whatever happens, at least until the closing,” Galliani confirmed at Vincenzo Montella’s presentation Press conference.
