‘Berlusconi? I respect my superiors…’

Milan Coach Cristian Brocchi discusses Silvio Berlusconi - “I’ve always respected my superiors”.

The former midfielder has been promoted from his position as Primavera Coach after Sinisa Mihajlovic was sacked yesterday.

It has been suggested that the Serbian was dismissed as he wouldn’t allow the club President to interfere in team selection, and the new man was asked about Berlusconi’s input.

“I want you to know one thing,” Brocchi told journalists in his presentation Press conference.

Galliani: ‘For the good of Milan’

Adriano Galliani says Milan “wanted to continue” with Sinisa Mihajlovic, but appointed Cristian Brocchi for the good of the club.

The Serbian Coach was sacked yesterday morning, with Primavera Coach Brocchi appointed in his stead.

“There were talks with the President [Silvio Berlusconi] which led to the club making this decision,” Galliani said in the Press conference to present Brocchi.

Reports say Cristian Brocchi must finish sixth to secure the Milan job, while Silvio Berlusconi went against Adriano Galliani’s advice by appointing him.

The former Rossoneri midfielder was promoted from the Primavera bench on Tuesday after Sinisa Mihajlovic was sacked.

Gazzetta dello Sport writes today that Berlusconi went against everyone in making this decision, including Vice-President Galliani, who did everything to convince him to keep Miha until the end of the season.

Two-month deal for Brocchi?

Cristian Brocchi’s Milan contract is reportedly only a two-month deal.

The Primavera Coach replaced Sinisa Mihajlovic after the Serbian was sacked this morning, and will take charge until the end of the season.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, there was dispute between club President Silvio Berlusconi and CEO Adriano Galliani about the length of his contract.

Adriano Galliani says Mario Balotelli has “a crazy desire” to stay at Milan.

The striker is on-loan from Liverpool, but has missed most of the season with a sports hernia.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani admits ‘we’re wondering why form has dropped’ and pays tribute to Cesare Maldini.
