Galliani: ‘Leicester offer never came’

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani says a promised offer for M’Baye Niang from Leicester “never arrived”.

The Foxes were believed to be interested in the Rossoneri forward, but it was reported earlier today that a €16m offer had been rejected.

However, speaking to assembled media after a meeting of the Lega Serie A, the director admitted an offer had been expected, but it never materialised.

Milan: ‘Marginal, unfounded events'

Milan have responded to allegations of Adriano Galliani’s involvement in the Operation Offside scandal, saying ‘the events are absolutely marginal.'

News broke this morning of an inquiry by the public prosecutor of Naples into tax evasion by 35 Serie A and B clubs and over 100 individuals.

Galliani was named among the suspects earlier today, but the Rossoneri have published a statement in his defence.

Tax evasion inquiry hits calcio

Lazio and Napoli owners Claudio Lotito and Aurelio De Laurentiis and Milan vice-President Adriano Galliani are reported suspects in a tax evasion inquiry.

Reports from La Repubblica emerged today that the Naples public prosecutor’s office has opened an inquiry into tax evasion and false invoicing in Italian football.

Lotito, De Laurentiis and Galliani have been named as suspects along with the likes of Modena Coach Hernan Crespo and PSG winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Galliani: ‘El Shaarawy to Roma today’

Milan’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani reveals Stephan El Shaarawy’s move to Roma is “on the home straight”.

The winger is in negotiations to join the Giallorossi on loan, after Monaco opted not to bring him to Ligue 1 permanently.

“It’s on the home straight with Roma,” Galliani told reporters as he arrived at Milanello today.

“We’ll see if we can close it today.”

Galliani was then asked about other potential transfers, and ruled out extensive January activity.

Galliani: 'El Shaarawy can't return'

Adriano Galliani confirms Stephan El Shaarawy “cannot return to Milan. He either stays at Monaco or finds another club.”

The Little Pharaoh had joined Monaco over the summer on a loan deal with option to buy that would become mandatory after 25 games.

Monaco stopped playing him at the 24th appearance, deciding they did not want to sign the forward on a permanent basis.
