Trofeo Berlusconi to return to August?

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has revealed that there will be efforts to move future Trofeo Berlusconi fixtures to August.

The Rossoneri face rivals Inter tonight in the annual friendly match, which was founded by Milan President Silvio Berlusconi in honour of his father Luigi Berlusconi.

However, Galliani revealed that there are plans to ensure the match doesn’t come in the middle of competitive fixtures in future.

Galliani: 'Not decisive for Mihajlovic'

Adriano Galliani assured the trip to Torino “is not a decisive match” for Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Ancelotti: 'Italy in a few years'

Carlo Ancelotti would not accept the Italy bench “yet” and explains why he had “doubts” about the Milan job.

He had been courted by the Rossoneri for a return over the summer, going to several dinners with CEO Adriano Galliani, but eventually opted to take some time off after his Real Madrid sacking.

“During those negotiations, if we can call them that, there were many aspects that left me with doubts. They were purely personal, mind you,” Ancelotti told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

Berlusconi: 'You'll see Milan change'

President Silvio Berlusconi promised “Milan will be in control of the game” after he spoke to Sinisa Mihajlovic.

The patron assured he would not sack the Coach after two consecutive Serie A defeats and one of the worst defensive records.

“(CEO Adriano) Galliani and Mihajlovic came over to have dinner with me. I could even have poisoned them!” joked Berlusconi at a political event.

“You’ll see that from the next match there will be changes. Milan will return to being in control of the game.”

Sinisa Mihajlovic is open to the 4-4-2 system against Torino and welcomes “constructive confrontation” with Milan.

The director spoke to MilanNews.it as he arrived for this evening’s friendly against Monza at the Stadio Brianteo.
